The year was 2014, me and mum were cooking in the kitchen, I must have only been 11 years old when my worst nightmare became a reality. It was tough with my dad always being at work and leaving mum to look after me but it drove us closer than ever.
Mum had to go out and get some vegetables while I was sat watching troll face on TV.
"ok sweetie I'll be home in a minute, remember DO NOT open the door to anyone, understood." "Yes mum" I said in a sarcastic manner.
10 minutes later mums arrived home with no vegetables? And with a look on her face as if she's been crying for hours.
"Mum? Are you ok?"
"Yes I'm fine sweetie, now go back to watching your programme"
I didn't want to ask any questions after that I just decided to leave it as that and went back to watching Troll face (which was a really epic episode).
