"Oh my god- you just called me love bug." You shouted into the phone as you laughed.

"Yeah, so what?" Futakuchi mused with a smirk on his face.

"So, that's such a bad way to flirt." He heard you say with more laughter. Every time you two talked you both seemed to be laughing. Which of course he enjoyed since every time you laughed his heart fluttered.

"Oh yeah, what do you know about flirting?" Futakuchi questioned, not expecting you to be able to come up with a response.

"Futakuchi, are you a dictionary? Cause you're adding meaning to my life." He felt his face heat up at your words, even if he knew it wasn't really true.

"I'm going for a walk." He said as he stood up from his chair. He grabbed his date tech jacket and began out the front door."

"Random."

"Maybe. Where are you right now?" He asked with a laugh.

"That's so creepy."

"It is not," he mumbled as he locked the door to his house behind him.

"Is too. But I'm at a cafe."

"Fancy Tokyo cafe huh?"

"Nah, I'm staying with my aunt and uncle for a week or two while my parents are gone." He heard you give a small sigh but you didn't seem to bothered.

Futakuchi quickly looked up at the cafe a few minutes away from his house and opened the door. He pulled the phone away from him slightly to request a table for one. The waitress took him over to his table and asked for his order. He ordered a small cup of coffee and pulled the phone back to his ear.

"Did you just order a small coffee?" He heard the girl ask. Now quieter than before since he'd turned the volume of his phone down while in the small, almost empty, cafe.

"Yeah, I'm at a local cafe."

"Why?"

"Well if we're both at cafes while on the phone isn't it sort of like a long-distance date?" He questioned as he stared out the window of the cafe.

"A date...yeah sure." He heard you say, causing him to smile at your agreement.

"Here's your coffee sir." The waitress set down his coffee with a smile. He nodded and turned away from her as he picked up his coffee.

"Wow, she called you sir. Didn't realize I was in the presence of a man."

"What, it's not like I'm a little boy," he said with a smile as he brought the coffee to his lips. He took a sip and while hearing him, you did the same.

"How does yours taste?"

"She made it wrong," Futakuchi said into his phone, not even trying to hide it. You let out a small laugh before responding.

"So, now what?"

"I guess I'll complain about it," he said dryly with an attitude.

"Don't."

"Why not? She's not doing her job correctly," he said as he glared at the waitress who stood on the other side of the cafe.

"It's not a big deal Futakuchi."

"Whatever," he said and bit his tongue. Normally he'd complain to the waitress and have an attitude with her. Despite his reluctance to admit it, because you told him not to he had decided against it.

"Hey, I gotta go. My aunts calling me for dinner. Talk later tonight?" He heard your tone with a dash of concern.

'Is she concerned for me?'

"Yeah, I'm sure I'll be up then." He said with a smile in a reassuring tone.

"Bye Futakuchi."

"Bye y/n."

He listened as you ended the call. Slowly he drank his coffee as he looked out of the window. He continued to sit in peace until all of his coffee was gone. He patiently waited as the waitress came up to him with his check.

"Hey, I'm sure you noticed I messed up the coffee. It sounds dumb, but thanks for not saying anything. I'm new here, and I'm still scared of getting fired. Thank you very much!" She said anxiously as Futakuchi handed her the correct amount of money for his coffee.

"It's no big deal." He said as he stood up. She nodded and watched as he left the building.

As he walked outside a gust of wind pushed through his hair and he walked down the empty pavement. He let out a sigh as he looked up at the afternoon sky. He shoved his hands down in his pockets as the clouds floated through the sky before his eyes.

"Guess you're making me into a better person, y/n. But I'm sure you're not content with that, you'll always want more."  Futakuchi said with a smile as he thought of you laughing about his improvement.
