Turns out that Felix was in three of my classes, two of which were on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The other class was on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so we became study buddies, which was a lot easier to do than I originally thought. I had been running circles in my mind thinking of ways to make friends once college started. I wasn't very good at this whole social thing, the words that came out of my mouth tended to weird people out and/or scare them off. That's how it always was back at my boarding school. Granted, it was also full of very well-off girls that've been in cliques since they were in the womb, and let me tell you, they kept a tight security on that ish. The only friend I really had at that school was the stray cat that followed me everywhere.
Wait.
Wait. One. Minute.
I made my first friend! My first college friend!
Chemistry hadn't even finished and I was jumping around in my seat, giddy to introduce Felix to Maddox and Marcus. They would be so proud of me.
A tap on my shoulder brought my attention to Felix, who was hiding his mouth behind his hand as he whispered to me, "Oi Duckie, what's got your knickers in a twist that you can't keep still for five more minutes?" I could hear the smile in his voice.
I shrugged, leaning back in my seat coolly. "My knickers are fully untwisted, Felix. I'm cool as a cucumber."
I swear I shot up a whole foot into the air when a snort resounded from Felix. My wide eyes turned to him, and when he caught sight of them, another longer snort ripped through his throat.
Doesn't that hurt?
I placed a tentative hand on his shoulder, leaning over to look at his face with concern etched into my features. When he caught my gaze, he froze, as if God pressed his pause button. I rubbed his shoulder softly, my concerned gaze glued on him. "Are you alright, Felix? That sounded like it hurt," I worried, my eyes wandering down to his throat where the sound had come from. I blinked, watching his Adam's apple bounce as he swallowed. My eyes fluttered up to his colorful ones, and they mirrored the same emotions I was feeling; dazed and slightly confused. I watched a blush creep across his lightly freckled cheeks, his mouth open slightly. His tongue darted out, licking his bottom lip and shocking me out of my staring contest with his face.
I whipped my head back around to face the front of the class, my back straighter than a metal rod. Felix cleared his throat and turned his focus back to the front as well.
Finally, the professor released us from his lecture. Almost reluctantly—almost—I turned back to Felix, who had his eyes crossed as he peered up at the lock of hair he was twirling. I let out a small chuckle that sounded closer to a whimper and Felix turned his eyes to me, leaving his fingers to play with his hair. My lip jutted out in a small pout as I took in the cuteness of this scenario, and Felix cocked a curious dark eyebrow at me.
When we rose to leave class, I watched as Felix stood, my jaw falling open as his body kept growing and growing and growing. My neck ached from leaning my head back so far as I stared at the lamp post that was my new friend. My shoulders dropped in incredulity. "How tall are you?" I asked.
Felix shared the same expression as he peered down at me, his lip quirked up in shocked amazement. "I'd ask the same 'bout you, Duckie. What're ya, hundred forty some centimetres?" He asked me with a humorous tone.
I had to think about that for a second because this is America and we think it's cool to use weird measurements instead of the metric system. Unfortunately, I don't know the conversion equation for feet to centimeters so I just shrugged as an answer, "Probably, but what about you? You're huge!"

RomanceI pointed a shaky finger at the demon in the front seat of the car, "Why is he in your car?" "Marcus' car can only fit so many people Duckie." I stomped a foot like a child. "But he scares me!" Maddox shrugged, opening the driver's door, "Tough shit...
