This will be short. I just had time to spare. I have to go to work later...
Yes, I know it's Sunday. But that's what team leaders do.

"I have been thinking about this for a while now and I have decided that I should say this to you." you spoke, fingers fidgeting and tone filled with shyness as your voice seemingly got drowned out by the multitude of lovely nature noises from the hills and trees standing proudly just beside you.
This was the place you where you met the love of your life. At a lovely field covered by a riot of small and large flowers - each boasting their own unique shade and hue - located right at the foot of a peaceful and tall mountain just outside your town.
The stillness. The beauty. The virtue. This place reminds you so much of him.
Ethan.
He was a man of few words. Never speaking more than just a few lines whenever you conversed. But that never meant he loved you any less. And that never meant you felt out of place or awkward when you are with him.
If anything, you firmly believe that he expresses his love in his own unique yet lovable way.
He was that one person whom you'd want to run to after an exhausting day knowing that just his presence was enough to bring your fried nerves to a calm. He was that one person that you'd want to share your problems with knowing he'd never judge or criticise.
His arms were your protection. His heart was you home. His smile was your pacifier. His voice was your strength. And his silence was your sanctuary.
He saw you broke down and cry far more than your own parents did, and with each and every tear that slid down your soft face, he'd replace it with a gentle but lingering kiss.
He saw your achievements and was the one that supported you through the failed attempts leading up to the successes to make sure the you never lose patience, heart, and hope.
He was the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. And since he hasn't brought up the question yet despite five years being together, you thought that maybe you should open it up to let him know that you were ready for that kind of commitment already.
"What is it? Did something happen?" Ethan asked back as he walked over to your side to offer his hand and undivided attention, his gorgeous sea green eyes wide from the shock, or otherwise nervousness, caused by you speaking so seriously so suddenly.
You loved nature after all. The both of you did. And if your mood all of a sudden turned sour even while you're in the middle of something you loved, then he's certain that it's something he should be worried about.
"No. It's just." you struggled for a bit and sighed, but continued after a short moment seeing that your lovely boyfriend was patient enough to wait until you've gathered your will.
"Ethan... I want you to marry me. You're the person I want to see first thing in the morning and the one I want to look at before I fall asleep at night. I want it to be my job to take care of you and I want to be the only one who has the rights to say 'I love you' whenever I feel like it... Other girls can't flirt with you, and I don't want to give them a chance. So, will you please marry me? I don't ever want to lose you. I don't want to."
The long and tedious request that you uttered without taking a break surprised Ethan so much that he wasn't able to react immediately. And this silence of his caused panic to swell in your already galloping heart the longer it took for him to respond.
But as soon your words finally registered in his seemingly one track mind, he smiled gently and pulled you for an embrace that lasted longer than most that you have shared in the past.
"You beat me to it again, (Y/N). You're always so fast you might as well be a runner." he whispered jokingly, chin resting at the crown of your head after placing a soft kiss on your hair. "Why did you think I even brought you here in the first place?"
