Truth or dare?

The weasley family has been a part of my life for as long as i can remember. My mom and Mrs. Weasley have been best friends since their first year at hogwarts which means i have known the family my whole life. Ron and i are around the same age so we have been best friends for years and years. We grew up together. I have always loved Ron but not in that way, Never in that way. Fred and george have always been so sweet to me, They have watched over me since i first arrived at the school. But fred has been a bit too protective. Every time i get close to a guy he always seems to be there. Maybe it is just a coincidence but i doubt it.

This year is ron and i's 5th year at the school and i couldn't be more excited about it.

"Y/n! time to go!" i hear ron shout from downstairs. I always stay at his house the night before we go back to hogwarts. I run downstairs with my bags in one hand and my owls cage in the other. "Need help y/n?" Fred asked "I think i'm fine" I say as i continue to walk down the stairs. "We don't want to be late Y/n!" Ron shouts "I'm coming" i say as i enter the kitchen. "Fred, george come on!" Molly shouts. "Okay!" they say at the exact same time. We walk out the door and soon after we arrive at the train station. "Ron you and y/n first!" said molly. "Alright" Ron said as he darted towards the wall in between platforms. I go next and then fred, george and ginny arrive. "Ah the hogwarts express!" Molly said smiling. "I miss taking this train to hogwarts" She said. And then kissed everyone on the forehead. We Walked onto the train and ron and i sat in a cabin together, Just us as usual. The train ride went fast and soon we arrived. I missed this place so incredibly much. Once we settle into our dormitories i try to find hermoine. She is one of my friends too. "Hermoine!" i shout and she turns her head "y/n!" she said running towards me with her arms open. We hug for a moment and then i say "up for some truth or dare tonight?" "with who?" She asks. "Ron, luna, cho, you, me, Harry, Seamus, dean, Ginny, fred and george and neville" i reply. "sure! i'm in" she said and i smiled "meet me in this hallway at 9:00" i say. She nods and walks back towards the common room.

Later that night ron and i walk to the spot i told hermoine to meet us, once we are there a room appears that wasn't there before, the room of requirement. "let's go!" i say as we open the door and walk inside. Soon after everyone arrived and we all sit in a circle. "Seamus you first!" "Truth or dare" i ask "dare!" "i dare you to dance around like a chicken!" i say laughing. He gets up and starts dancing around looking  exactly like a chicken. "okay that's good!" he says as he sits down. "Ron, truth or dare?" he asks. "Dare" ron replies "i dare you to kiss y/n!" Everyone gasps. "Come on y/n it can't be that bad!" Ron says "Fine!" I say and as i get up i see fred glaring at me, i try to ignore it. I walk towards ron and He puts one hand on the back of my neck and the other on my lower back. He leans in and kisses me softly, For a moment we kiss, It was awkward since we are only best friends and nothing more but it was also pleasant. "Stop!" Fred shouts. "What is it fred? What's wrong" I say somewhat concerned. "Don't go near her Ron!" "Fred what are you talking about?! Ron is your brother and my best friend! you know he wouldn't hurt me, it was just a silly dare, honestly fred what has gotten into you? why do you care so much?" I shout back. He gets up and leaves the room as i watch him walk away i am startled, hurt and confused. Why did he care that much?

After that i decide i've had enough and call it a night. I walk back to the common room with ron and we both walk into our dorms. Hermoine is sitting on her bed reading but when i come in she looks up at me. "y/n! What is up with fred?" "I don't know! I am so confused" i cry. "I will talk to him tomorrow but i am super tired and should probably get some sleep" i say through a yawn. "goodnight y/n" hermoine says "night" I crawl into bed and can't stop thinking about what had happened. I will talk to him about it in the morning though, I think about what i am going to say and drift off to sleep.
