one day, muse a returns home after work/school.
they are planning for this to be the last time that they return home like this.

but then, a small piece of folded up paper flies under the door.
muse a picks it up and unfolds it.

at the bottom of the note, muse b's name is written there.
and all of a sudden, muse a feels hope.

that letter was the start of a long line of letters between muse a and muse b.
they found out things about each other, eventually becoming friends.
until the day that muse a decides that they have developed feelings for this person they have never met, who saved their life.

they say nothing about it, until one day in which they are out walking when they suddenly hear their name being called...
