Qwen and Paei were the first and second Taelin made by Ven. Together they ventured north. Paei gave birth to three sons and five daughters.
They walked until the land met the waters. On the shores they built a home for themselves. They called the land they claimed, "klaree" the land that meets the sea. Ven gave their tribe the family name, Pwenkler.

However, some of the children weren't content on settling just yet. The firstborn son, Dae, the third born daughter, Sefon, and fourth born daughter, Alleia, built a large boat. Together they set out to sail the oceans. They started to lose faith after days without finding anything. Yet, they sailed on. They fought the merciless waves and terrifying creatures of the sea. Their determination to continue on got noticed.

A child of Yiriy, Hirahei, the Great Whale made himself known to the sailing Taelin. He admired the Taelin determination and ability to survive the harshness of the oceans. To each, he offered a gift.

To Dae, he offered the bones of an ocean predator that Dae had killed earlier. Dae made tools and weapons from the bones. With the Elder's blessing Dae became the war god of the northern sea.

To Sefon, he offered a pearl. The pearl represents the riches of the water. Sefon was made the goddess of the treasures and riches of the eastern sea.

To Alleia, he offered a conch-like shell. The shell spills out, endlessly, a stream of water and wind. Alleia was blessed to be the goddess of the storms that rage across the western sea.
