"One night to be confused
One night to speed up truth
We had a promise made
Four hands and then away

Both under influence
We had divine scent
To know what to say
Mind is a razor blade." – Heartbeats, Jose Gonzales

While on the drive to Manuel Antonio (in rental car, Lawrence driving)

Lawrence: Cha, I like how I can talk to you about anything under the sun.

Chairmaine: Me too, Law. I feel safe and I know you won't judge me.

Lawrence: How have you been really?

Chairmaine: Honestly?

Lawrence: Yeah, I feel like there's something bothering you and you're not telling me.

Chairmaine: I'll be honest, Law. I had to take time off humanitarian missions because I suffered some minor PTSD symptoms. Plus my reporter ex was very abusive. It wasn't easy being with him. The last year with him felt like hell.

Lawrence: I'm sorry to hear Cha. You didn't deserve that at all. Are you ok now?

Chairmaine: Getting better, Law, getting better. (leans on his shoulder)

Lawrence: There, there Cha. (touching her head) I'll be here, just like the old times.

Chairmaine: How about you?

Lawrence: Still recovering from the divorces Cha. Sometimes I feel like I'm a terrible person, a terrible father.

Chairmaine: Hey Law, it's not your fault it didn't work out. Don't be too hard on yourself ok? I'm here. I'll support you.

Lawrence: Let's get better together?

Chairmaine: agree!

Lawrence: Let's have fun this weekend!

Chairmaine: ok Law, but not TOO MUCH fun because I have classes on Monday!

Lawrence: ok! but *winks* #

Arrival at Manuel Antonio

Chairmaine: I booked two rooms for us, Law.

Lawrence: No worries, Cha.

Chairmaine: I'll just leave my stuff at my room then let's go to the beach!

Lawrence: Me too. Catch you in a bit. #

Booked tour begins...

Lawrence: Cha, I'll fix your mask it's not straight.

Chairmaine: Thanks, Law! I'm so happy to be here. I wasn't able to go the last time because I was busy with school. So happy to be with you here too.

Lawrence: (putting on his sunglasses) Me too Cha. It's nice. I feel very relaxed and I'm having a good time too.

(Lawrence and Chairmaine with arms linked together explore the beauty of Manuel Antonio National Park. They see sloths, squirrel monkeys, white-faced monkeys and occasional iguanas passing by. With the sun shining on their faces and the lovely Costa Rica weather comforting their weary souls, it was such a nice time for them both).

At the resort's restaurant

Chairmaine: Law, I'm starving I think I want to have lunch already.

Lawrence: Sure, Cha. What's nice here?

Chairmaine: Usually Law, gallo pinto is the local delicacy here, it's beans and rice usually served with scrambled egg but now since it's lunch time I'll have mine with chicken breast steak that the season with nice spices.
