Chapter 8

Tal's P.O.V
Me and Maddie flopped down on her new couch, that we both just got into her living room.

"Well, Emilia will be happy at least." She said. I nodded. She then stood up and went to a closet, pulling out sheets and grabbing her lovie off the table. I stood up and pulled the bed out and helped Maddie put the sheet on. She then took a blanket and pillow that were in a corner and placed them on, topping it all off with her lovie.

"Now we know she has it." I said. Maddie nodded, wide eyes. "What exactly happened last night?"

"Emily came home, Emilia can't sleep without it, so she slept with Emily, since she was the closest person. She was scared to wake me up probably." I nodded understanding. She then walked into the kitchen pulling out some chips and walking back over, eating them straight out the bag. I looked at my watch and saw it was almost four-thirty.

"It's almost four-thirty. You wanted to go to dinner, right?" She nodded. "Do you wanna get ready here or bring stuff back to my place."

"I'll just bring stuff to your place. It's easier." I nodded and pulled out my phone. Adi texted me saying he was going to be back in about thirty minutes.

"Adi and the girls will be back in thirty minutes." I said.

"Okay, I'll hurry and grab stuff then." She handed me the chips and walked into her room. I texted Adi back that we were at the girls apartment, and we would be back when they got home. Maddie came back a few minutes later with a small bag and her make up bag over her shoulder. I handed her back her chips, which I assume she's taking, and took her hand. I walked out with her while she locked her place and got in my car. We drove back to my house and listened to her music. We got back and walked in. Skye ran over and jumped all over us. Maddie giggled and put her bag down, so she could pick her up. Skye licked her face and wiggled excitedly. My phone then started ringing. It was my sister. Oh boy.

"Who is it?" Maddie asked, obviously seeing the worry in my face.

"Shani." Maddie's eyes went huge. I answered "Yea?"

"The kid on Maddie and your story is either a sibling of Maddie i never knew or a child your babysitting, right?" She asked, with a serious tone.

"Um, we need to talk." Maddie put Skye down and sat on the couch.

"Tal Fishman, I swear to God if it's yours."

"Shani, listen. She's Me, Maddie, Adi and Emily's kid. I didn't do this alone."

"Adi?! He tells me everything. I'm surprised he hasn't told me anything. That's not the point though. Did either of you learn from the pep talk I gave Adi when he pranked me that Emily was pregnant?"

"Look, She's five. She won't cost as much as a baby would."

"I know but youtube, Maddie models, nobody in this is married, and you don't even live together."

"She stays with me and Adi on the weekdays and the girls on the weekend. And she's easy to encorperate into videos. Adi and Emily are doing one right now. I get it that it looks hard, but we are making it work. Maddie is off for a while, I don't edit my stuff anymore and she loves us just the way we are. Even if she's split a lot, She has nobody before. This is better then she ever would get. And I think you'll like her."

"When are Adi and Emily finished filming."

"They'll be home in about 10 minutes."

"I'm coming over. If i'm gonna have a niece, I wanna meet her! But who is mom and dad in this."

"All of us. All four of us are legal guardians" Maddie stated.

"Now I can see how it could be easier. Smart decision, Tal. Do mom and dad even know."
