Tendou was bullied as a kid, being called names and a monster. He never really knew why, but all these years, he kept his feelings hidden behind a mask, afraid to say anything. - "UshiUshi~" Tendou sang as he walked towards the olive head male. Ushijima looked over at him as he gave him a small nod as a greeting.
"Ah~ Semi!" Tendou called out as he noticed the white haired setter walk towards them. Semi gave a small wave as he took his seat next to Tendou and Ushijima.
"Have you heard about the new student..." Tendou turned to look at Ushijima as he continued to chew on his hayashi rice.
"Ah~ New student?~" Tendou questioned as he inched nearer towards the olive head male.
"Yeah, I heard she transferred from Aoba Johsai." Semi notified Tendou.
"Oo! Interesting~" Tendou sang as he went back to his breakfast.
"Speaking of Aoba Johsai...Oikawa should have came to Shiratorizawa..." Ushijima mumbled, expressing his thoughts about a certain Sejioh setter. - Y/N POV - Class time rolled around, you were desperately trying to find your class as it was your first day at Shiratorizawa. You had previously attended Sejioh but had to switch as your parents had work near there. Trying to find your way through, you suddenly bumped into someone, someone WAY taller than you.
"Ah shit, why is there a wall-" I looked up to see not a wall, but a toned chest. You flushed from embarrassment as you looked up to see who you bumped into. A spiky red haired male came into sight, he had a smirk as he looked down at you.
"Ah~ Who could you be? I've never seen you around, dearie~" He teased as gave me a closed eyed smile.
"D-dearie?" I flushed as I felt my cheeks heat up. But finally, I cleared my throat, I introduced myself.
"A-ah..I'm L/N F/N..New transfer student..." I half whispered half spoke.
"Ah~ I've heard of a new transfer student...Didn't expect such a beauty~, the name is Saotori Tendou" He teased before walking away. It was true though, I was always called a beauty back in Aoba Johsai. I was basically a female version of Oikawa.
"Wait! Can you help me find Class 2?" I asked, grabbing his hand as I remembered about my original purpose.
"Hm? Sure~ Oh! Looks like you're in the same class as me~, just follow me dearie~" He sang as he started walking down the hallways. - - "Hello! I'm L/N F/N! I'm a new student! Please take care of me..!" I bowed before glancing up at everyone. I could already hear the whispers from boys and girls, some were complimenting me while some girls were calling me 'competition'.
"Alright L/N, you can take a seat next to Tendou" I heard the teacher said, Tendou raised up his hand, smirking as I gave him a nervous smile before taking my seat next to him. - Recess rolled around. Class was okay, except I had a lot of boys glance at me, some winking at me which made me feel a little uncomfortable. The only person I had communicated with so far was Tendou, so I went ahead and followed him for the whole of lunch break.
"And explain to me again why you are following me, dearie?~" He whispered into my ear before giving me a grin. Shivers were sent down my spine as I kneed him softly, before turning away.
"It's cause you're the only person I know..!" I exclaimed, face flushed. He let out a 'Ah' before continuing to walk down the hallways. Afraid of getting lost in the swarm of students, I gripped onto Tendou who looked back at me and smirked.
"Look! Its that guess monster and the new transfer student!" "I wonder what a beauty like her is doing with such a monster, she could do so much better"
I glanced around to overhear two students say. I assumed they were talking about Tendou since he was the only person near me. I glanced ahead at Tendou, who seemed unbothered as he continued his way down the hallways, humming a small tune.
"Look! It's the monster from class 2!" "Wait what is the new beauty from class 2 doing with such a monster?"
I slowly started hearing more remarks as we passed by more students. My stomach gave me a uneasy feeling as my tight clenched. Surely Tendou could hear these remarks..they are loud enough for it to be heard! Is he not bothered..? I tried my best not to create a scene since, well, it's my first day here. Until a guy came blocking Tendou's way.
"What's a monster like you doing with the new beauty of the school huh?" He smirked as his friends started to surround him, making him seem strong. Tendou stared at him, not muttering a word.
"Huh? Say something you monster! You honestly aren't worthy of anything! I don't understand why-"
"Hey! Stop that!" I shouted towards the guy who was tormenting Tendou. His reaction was priceless, his mouth went wide as he looked at me. "B-but h-he is a monster!" He finally said, pointing at Tendou. "Look at him! He's so scary!". Tendou seemed unfazed, still staring at the guy.
"Well, I don't think he looks like a monster! In fact, he is not a monster! And I think he's a really nice person! And also I find him way more attractive than you! So I would please appreciate if you could stop bothering me and my friend and get out of the way!" I told him off. I left him speechless and he bowed before dragging his friends out of the way. Seeing this, Tendou turned to look at me.
"...."
We had a staring contest before he finally spoke up. He inched nearer to me before using a finger to lift my chin up, our faces only a inch apart.
