Paul carried me over to the car and sat in the back row of seats, with me in between him and Leah in the small 2 seated row. Jared, Kim, Embry, and Emily sat in the middle row, and Quil drove with Jake in the passenger seat. Sam wasn't in the car, and instead chose to run home, even though it was a 25 minute drive so it would be at least and hour and a half to run.

I leaned my head on Paul's shoulder and adjusted my self a little bit so that I could fall asleep, but he didn't let me. "Hey, you need to stay awake so you can tell us what happened and what you saw when we get home, ok?" He told me

"No," I replied, closing my eyes again and getting more comfortable.

"Serena,"

"Paul,"

"Serena, open your eyes, sit up, and tell us a story" Paul told me, moving me into a position where I was sitting up.

"No" I said again, leaning my head onto Leah's shoulder this time

"Serena if you don't sit up and stay awake I'll tell mom that you bit me and she'll ground you" Embry threatened, earning a laugh from everyone in the car

"No, I'll sleep" I replied again

Sam

"Quil, stop the car" I heard Paul say inside the car as I was running a few feet away from it in the woods

"Stop? Ok" Quil replied

"Why are we stopping, Paul?" Emily asked

"Because if she's not going to stay awake in the car then I'll just have to run her home" Paul replied

"No, Paul, you're going to make it worse, she's already in shock from what happened and learning about us, how do you expect her to hold onto you as you run?" Embry said, shooting down Paul's idea which is exactly what I would have done if I were in the car.

"Embry, she needs to stay awake"

"But she can stay awake in a different way, besides, we'll be home in 10 minutes anyways and if Quil learns that he can go faster than 5 under the speed limit we'll be back quicker. Let's just play I spy or something, ok?" Embry explained, getting Quil to start driving again

"Oooh! I love this game! I'll start!" Kim exclaimed, "I spy with my little brown eye something green!"

"Wow Kim, so original, let me guess, the grass?" Jared asked

"No! Serena it's your turn to guess!" Said Kim

"Bush" Serena replied blandly

"No, that's not it either! Jake your turn to guess!"

"Hmm, how about a leaf?" Jake asked

"Yes! Now it's your turn to do one!"

"Um, ok, I spy with my little brown eye something yellow" Jake said with fake enthusiasm

Seth

"Are they back yet?" Billy Black asked, rolling into Sams house followed by Paul and Sam and the twins dads.

"Jake just texted and said that they're just pulling into town so it'll new a few more minutes. Sam ran ahead though so he should be here right about now" I replied, reading the text from Jake

"And you are correct, Seth, because I'm right here" Sam said walking in through the back door of his house

"So what exactly happened? How did you know what was going on?" Billy asked Sam

"Leah told me and Jared who were on patrol through the link because she shifted and fought the vampier until we got the when she killed it" Sam replied

"Wow!" I exclaimed, "Leah's bad ass! I thought she just had a resting bitch face!"

"Thanks Seth, but I've always been bad ass, the rbf yay comes with it" Leah said, leading everyone into where we were located

"Alright, where's my daughter" Joshua said, standing up from his chair and facing the group that just walked in

"She's right here" Paul said, causing everyone to turn their attention to him, "she's been trying to go to sleep the entire way home but I wouldn't let her until we explained some things"

I looked at Serena, who was on Paul's back like she was getting a piggy back ride, and saw that she looked drained. She had bags under her eyes and her eyelids were dropping, scratches cover all of her visible skin as well.

"Why don't you sit her down in a chair and she can tell us what happened and what she all saw" Paul's dad said, stopping Joshua from going towards Serena.

I listened to my father and sat Serena down in one of the dining table chairs, myself taking the one to her left and Embry the one on her right. "Can you tell us what you saw sweetie?" Billy asked her, being gentle with her since he knew that she was in major shock

"Wolves" she said quietly, but we all knew what she was going to say anyway.

"And how many wolves did you see?"

"six"

"She saw all of us phase but Quil and Seth" Sam said, preventing another question from leaving Billy's mouth.

"What else did you see?" Joshua asked

"A person"

"What color eyes did that person have?"

"Red. Bright red. One grabbed me and tried to bite me but t-this giant wolf came and ate it. I was so scared" she cried, breaking down, "I was so scared that I was going to die!"

"Hey, calm down, you're safe now, ok? We just need to get you checked out with Kim and Emily and then you can go to sleep ok? You're safe" Joshua said, trying to calm Serena down

"Sam," Billy said, "how much does she know about the entire situation?"

"I don't think she knows what attacked her, and I'm not sure if she can process us phasing right now either" Sam replied

"Ok, Serena, I just need you to tell me what you remember about the wolves, ok? How much do you remember?" Billy asked her

"They were fast, and huge, a-and really really scary! One ate Leah! Oh my God! One ate Leah! Leah's dead!" She sobbed

"I'm not dead, I'm right here, Serena, the wolf didn't eat me, I am the wolf" Leah said attempting to show Serena that she was in fact not dead

"Leah's dead! She's not here! She's dead!"

"She's not dead, sweetie" my father said, "look, she's right there, alive and well"

"There's no way! The wolf ate her and the thing I see is just my imagination! I'm going insane! I'm going insane! I thought that I saw Sam turn from a human back to himself! Same with Embry, Jake, Jared, and Paul! But it's not real, it's only because I'm hallucinating after hitting my head!"

"Get Sue in here Seth, tell her to come as quick as she can" Billy spoke frantically, causing Seth to quickly call his mother
