Chapter 5 'something you need to take care of'

---At kickboxing practice after school---

I have a little break so I can catch my breath a little bit. I walked to the side of the room and searched my water bottle out of my bag. As I finally found it, my phone started ringing. The caller said 'Mom'. I picked up

"Hello how are you my dear ?" Said my mom. Before I could answer something she continued talking

"I'll be home sooner than planned. I'll be there Friday at 3am or something. I'll give you something to take care of and I'll go right away to Paris. I have a big meeting there.

-What do I have to take care of...

-You'll now soon enough. Just don't tell your dad sweetie ok?

-It's not like he called often.

-Good sweetheart I'll have to go now.

-Mom! Don't you have something to ask me?

-I'm not sure I think I now everything what there need to know. Anyways I really have to go now so see you on Friday. And give a big kiss to your lovely sister. Bye

-Mary got accepted in YG, she lives in a dorm, she changed school. Hara and Yixing changed school too. I'm kinda left alone at school and at home in this enormous house and not fine with it. " but she already hang up on me before I got to say anything.

I went back to practice immediately to let my mind be at peace a little bit. Just at least to forget a tiny bit the new burden I had to live with starting from now on. And moms 'something I need to take care of' or whatever it would be doesn't make me look forward to it.

---Thursday almost midnight---

I practiced everyday apart from today I need a day off since tomorrow are the preliminaries. I didn't get much news from neither my friends side nor my sister's side. Apart that they are busy and practice really alot. I'm proud of them, they work so hard to get all the chances they can to make their dreams come true.

As I went to the kitchen to make myself a cup of hot milk I heard someone enter. I walked to the entrance and saw my mom walking in. As soon as she saw me she started running towards me and took me in a big hug.

"How have you been my sweetie pie?

-Good thanks

-Where is your sister?

-At the dorm I guess.

-Oh really?

-Anyways what is the something you talked about?

-It's in the car right now. I'll tell you some rules and I'll only give it to you if you promise not to break any of them.

1 Don't tell a word about it to your dad never ever

2 Pay extra attention to it and take really good care of it

3 it's not a rule but you should know that, I got it 4 years ago from Mr. Muller my German partner

4 I'll give you really important papers do not lose them, read them and hide them

5 None of the above should be known by your dad.

That's it go back to what you were doing. I'll go get it put it on the couch and I'll have to catch the next flight right away."

She ran out and I slowly walked back to the kitchen to make my milk with honey. I heard my mom go in again and put something on the couch. I didn't move and just ignored it. Then she said loud enough for me to hear

"I'm going now. And I'm sorry for calling it as 'it'. You wouldn't have accepted if I didn't."

I somehow got curious but shrugged it of. I heard my mom go away. I heard the car starting and slowly getting further away. I went to the couch but at 3 meters away from it I stopped. I sat down and watched at what other burden came to my already but newly chaotic life. All I could think of is Why the hell did she made me agree to that. Why is she so immature and not taking any responsibilities of what she does.

How should I put it in words? I slapped my face just to see if I was dreaming. I stood up walked towards the couch and watched at the sleeping little boy. How could my mom abandon such a cute little boy?
