Alena's eyes flickered, slowly opening his ice blue eyes shining in hers. 'What happened?'
'You became weak.'
'And my friends?'
'They're fine.'
He leaned forward placing his lips on hers kissing her, she returned his kiss adamantly, yet they felt so warm this morning unlike the coldness that she had always felt when they had kissed before.
He pulled away looking at her for the first time his fires reflected in her eyes. She became transfixed within them. He looked deeper into her eyes, the flames burning, but there was something else, a shadow. He looked deeper the shadow becoming clearer. A male with black hair pitch black eyes, pale completion.
'What's wrong X?' She asked the flames dying away leaving the pure blue colour of them. His an ice colour.
'Reticule.'
'Who?'
'How do you know Reficul?'
'Who's Reficul?'
'Never mind. I've got to go.' He said leaping off the bed quickly getting dressed.
'X.'
He looked at her. 'I'll talk to you later.' He turned walking out.
'X.'
The door slammed behind him
'Zep.'
'X. What's wrong bro?'
'Did you see anything in her eyes?'
'Yeah flames like I told you.'
'Nothing else.'
'No nothing.'
'Not even Reficul?'
'No. He's dead X. We both know that.'
'So why did I see him in her eyes? If she doesn't know who he is.'
'I don't know X.'
Alena pulled herself up slipping into her clothes and slims wrapping a cardigan round her before leaving the flat heading into the sleeping city.
She looked round the houses, shops, and flats, before looking down the long stretch of road where had X gone? Why had he left like he had?
She walked down the silent street turning left down a deselect street where a cottage stood alone at the end of it. She walked over to it, maybe X was in there. She opened the door stepping in the door creaking closing behind her. She jumped, yet looked around the empty room. 'X you in here?'
No reply.
She walked through the cottage looking through each of its darkened rooms fully furnished. 'X where are you?'
She pushed the handle down of the only closed room of the cottage. 'X are you in....'
She said opening the door entering the room. 'Here?'
A dark haired girl lay on the bed. Alena walked curiously and cautiously over to it she looked down at the girl who was laid down on the bed. The face pale, shallow, Strawn. 'Stac.'
She said nothing.
'What are you doing in here Alena?'
She jumped turning. 'X, Zep.'
'What are you doing in here?'
''I came looking for you.'
'Well you found me.'
'She's dead.'
'No she's not. A little shocked maybe, but not dead.'
Alena looked at Zephyr. 'You done this?'
He smiled evilly.
'And I thought you were different.'
'And I told you we were the same.'
'And my other friends?'
'They're fine.' Exodus paused. 'Well at least now I know where all my food's been going now.'
'I need my perks too.'
'You're dead. So is she.'
'No she's not. Just chill.'
Zephyr walked over to the bed kneeling down placing his hand on Stacey's face. 'Babe you've got company.'
He moved away taking his hand off her face.
Her eyes flickered opening. Looking at Alena. 'Shortie.'
Alena walked over to the bed her arm flying around Stacey hugging her. 'I'm so glad you're okay. You looked dead.'
'I'm fine Shortie, you can you lose now? You're cutting of the circulation.'
'Sorry.' Alena said taking her arms from around Stacey. 'How long have you been here?'
'I can't remember.'
'We met outside the club didn't we babe. And I brought you back here.'
'Yeah.'
'And the others?'
'Don't worry about them Al there all in good hands. They're been treated well too.'
'Good.'
'Come on Alena we better go.' Exodus said pulling her away.
'I'll come back okay.'
'Okay.'
Exodus pulled Alena out of the room closing the door behind them.
Zephyr sat on the bed. 'So how are you feeling my little princess?'
'Tired.'
'You best rest.'
He leaned forward placing his lips on hers kissing her, his lips like fire burning into hers as they kissed hungrily.
He pulled away guiding his hand down her face. 'Rest now my pretty princess.'
Her eyes becoming heavy closing.
'What were you doing in there Angel?'
'I already told you. Looking for you.'
'You shouldn't have.'
'Well I did. Good job too, what gives him the right to keep her there? How could you allow it?'
Exodus stopped jolting Alena back. 'I didn't know Angel. I thought she left.'
'With or without the others?'
'With out. They got caught up with some of the locals.'
'She told me she fancied him, and we know he wanted her. So what makes you think he'd let her leave?'
'Maybe she changed her mind in the dark!' He cracked.
'Well he obviously didn't.'
'She's safe that is all that matters. Now come on.' He said pulling her away before she took the argument further.
