Part 22

Damien slipped unnoticed into Hargrove. He watched as Alena and he friend's lured venerable males in, slaughtering them when their defenses were down. Black tar twisting round their bodies suffocating them.

'I see he taught you well.'

She looked up straight at the dark haired, dark eyed male. 'Who are you?'

'Guess you missed me?' He said ignoring her initial question.

'You got a death wish.'

'Have you?'

She stared blank at the stranger who seemed to have an answer for everything she threw at him. 'I'll kill you!'

He laughed. 'You can't do that.'

'Why?'

'Do you know Reficul?'

'He's my father, and you are?'

'Damien. His son, your brother.'

'Girls leave us.'

'Be careful Alena.'

'I will. Tell X where I am.'

'Sure.'

Helena and Stacey pulled themselves up leaving Alena and Damien alone. Looking at him saying nothing.

'Where's Alena?'

'With some guy claiming to be her brother.'

'That's not possible. What's this guy look like.'

'Like her.'

'Shit come on. If he is who he says he is she's in deep shit.'

'Aren't we all?'

'Maybe, but Alena more.'

'Why has he got a hold on her?'

'Maybe.'

Exodus, Zephyr, and Tragen headed away from the club to find Alena and the guy that was claiming to be her brother.

Alena looked the stranger up and down. 'I don't get it. If you are my brother then why wait this long?'

'This place is hard to find.' He looked at her. 'Don't you believe me?'

'I don't know it's just so.'

'Come here and give your brother a welcome kiss.'

'Why?'

'It's been a long time Al.'

'First I want answers. The truth first. You were supposed to be dead.'

'I'm real believe me. A girl took me from the morgue. She knew that I wasn't dead. I set it on fire by the way.'

'Why?'

'They tried to say I was dead when I wasn't but that girl knew it was bull shit. She took care of me. Nice girl too, but all good things have to come to an end. I killed her too.'

'God you're just like him?'

'Don't mention his name round me ever!

'Oh I'm forgetting Satan had two children, but mom did.'

'Come on sis. Just be happy welcome me.'

'I'm not kissing you.'

'On the check.'

'Fine.' She huffed.

She leaned forward to kiss his check. He turned her lips landed on his. She edged back, he placed his hand on the back of her head placing his lips back on hers kissing her hungrily, making sure that he got the response that he wanted. She returned his kiss foolishly he continued kissing her with tongue. Her body becoming weak, her leg numb,

Slipping from under her.

'Alena!'

Damien pulled away winking at Alena through his dark glazed eyes before vanishing.

She fell into Exodus's arms. 'Who was that?'

She looked at him dazed. 'Damien.'

'Lucifer's child?'

'Yeah.'

'Are you okay?'

'Yeah, just a little.'

'Don't get too close to him Angel. He'll take away everything that is yours and more to become his. Then he'll take you to hell with him.'

'Okay.'

'Come on I'll get you back to the flat you need to rest.'

She smiled faintly.

Damien stood in the darkness flames burning within his eyes, grinning evilly.

Exodus laid Alena on the bed. 'Now rest okay.'

She smiled before closing her eyes.

Exodus closed the door going into the lounge.

'How is she?'

'Weak. Whatever we do we must keep them apart, or he'll take everything that is hers. He is her dark side. Reficul's mistake, he will have to be destroyed for this city to live.'

'So what now?'

'We go and find him and bring him down.'

Exodus, Zephyr, and Tragen walked out of the flat into the city in search of Damien. They searched till dusk till they could look no more Damien was nowhere in the city.

Exodus slipped into the bed next to Alena placing his arm over her closing his eyes.
