It was a Saturday night and I sat watching the fireball that is our sunset over the horizon, showing arrays of blues, oranges, and purples. I felt my mind relax as the darkness slowly started to settle in as the crickets started to say their hellos to each other. I decided to lean back on the ancient oak tree behind me and shut my eyes for a little while and enjoy the fresh air around me.

"What are you doing outside! Come inside, I want to play!" I heard a voice boom out from behind me and I got startled.

"Ugh, what do you want!" I feel the annoyance start to come up.

I feel her hand wrap around my arm and try to pull me up. After many attempts of pulling as hard as she could, she gave up and sat down.

"You're so annoying. We want to play with you, why can't you just come and play. Stop acting like you're 30 years old," I open my eyes and I stare at her innocent face and I feel like giving in and playing whatever stupid game they want to play, but I suddenly remember all the evil pranks these kids have pulled on me the past month. So, I close my eyes again and give her the cold shoulder.

I listen closely as I hear her retreating footsteps going back into the house. I sigh in relief and go back to enjoying the nice weather outside. I take a look up towards the shining stars and wonder what it would be like to shine out so brightly from the darkness around you. I lean back and close my eyes again, and feel my body begin to start to relax.

Some time passes by, and slowly the moonlight starts to softly illuminate my surroundings. I groan in annoyance when I hear two pairs of feet stumbling towards me. I lazily open my eyes and look in the direction of footsteps. My fall on Clara and Clark, the two kids who have made my past month a nightmare.

"Like I said before we want to play!" Clara barked.

"Yeah, stop being so mean." Clark agreed.

I silently look at the kids and look around me. Tonight would be the perfect night to play manhunt. My heart starts to beat a little faster remembering all the times I've played manhunt when I was seven or eight.

"Fine but I choose what game we're playing."

"No!" they both scream out instantaneously.

"Take it or leave it."

"Ugh fine," Clara said with an annoyed look on her face.

"We're going to play manhunt"

They didn't know what the game was like so it took me what seemed like a lifetime to explain it. Once we started playing I knew this would be a night to remember.
