The doctors were trying to kill her. Weren't they? It seemed to be that way as they hovered over her bed, their eyes glazed over with panic and adrenaline. She screamed at them to get away, but they wouldn't listen. They just stared, their mouths moving in silence. Their arms flailed about like lost ducks, and white heat coursed through her veins. Her body was ablaze—a fire that couldn't perish. Why wouldn't they help her?
She screamed and cried in agony, pleading for mercy. They didn't listen to her, or they couldn't. She tried to jump away from them, but couldn't move. She begged her body to work—to do anything. It just lay there, stagnant. She was paralyzed. When that realization began to creep in, so did the darkness.
