Hi. So uh - it's been a hot minute. But I'm finally back. Hi, how are ya? I wouldnt necessarily say I was on a hiatus or anything like that. Honestly - the only excuse I do have is just being hella fucking busy with life - that and I probably experienced the longest writers block that I have struggled shaking off for months, until now.
I don't know, I finally have the artistic drive to write and the first thing that popped into my mind was starting the second book of this story. And immediately - I started having ideas back to back and here I am, brainstorming, forming a rough draft, revising, and etc. Its honestly so relieving to be back into the headspace I need to be so, I'm honestly not even complaining.
So - before I start the first chapter I should probably clarify a few things.
First and foremost, due to my indecisiveness, I wont be portraying Lilith as anyone. I simply - for the life of me - cannot find anyone who I feel looks like what I imagine her to look like. So - I'm leaving that to you guys. You guys have full freedom to choose who you think Lilith would portray. And honestly I feel like it's better that way.
Secondly, when it comes to texts, I will put it in a simple format, so y'all don't struggle and become confused. So for example, whoever (the chapters character pov) is texting the person, it'll show up like this.
Hello.
And when that person replies, it'll show their name, and their text, as shown below.
xxx: Hi.
When I get the chance to, I will go back to the first book and change that, that's probably my first priority when going back to edit that entire book itself.
Lastly, and probably most importantly, something I should very much clarify, because I have noticed I have a small percentage of young readers who are under 18 who read the last book.
This next book will be much heavier, and much darker. This book will include hard drugs, excessive drinking, self harm, violence, sexual activities, and as same as before, heavy explicit content, and heavy profanity.
So here's what i'll do.
With every chapter with said warnings I've listened above, I will list those warnings above the chapter before it starts. I strongly discourage that if you are under 18, that you discontinue and find another book. Although it's your decision entirely, just know, you've been warned.
Okay? Okay, cool.
Since I got that all out of the way.
I plan to try to put in more words in each chapter than my last book. So for example, with Sweet Belladonna, my goal for each chapter was about roughly 3,000 words, and if I didn't succeed, Id post another chapter with it as a make up for it. Now for Sweet Hydrangea, my goal for each chapter will be roughly 5,000 words.
This also means that I won't be able to post chapters so quickly as I could with the last book, so if it seems as if I haven't been publishing for a few weeks, just know I'm working on it, it's just taking me a hot minute. So I'd say expect new chapters within a month span of each other. So like for example, I would publish in May, and then would publish in June. It might not take me that long, and sometimes I might need that time roughly to get a chapter out.
I hope you guys understand and I will try my hardest to improve and impress you guys with this book.
After this chapter, I will post a cast list so you guys can see the returning characters, and most importantly, new characters.
I hope you guys are as excited as I am for this book to finally begin, and to see what I have in store for Lilith and Billie.
And most importantly, I could not thank you all enough for the tremendous support upon the last book. You guys are my biggest drive to wanting to continue to write the second book so, I couldnt thank you guys enough. Sincerely, thank you.
See you guys very soon, prepare your popcorn, your drinks, your snacks, and most importantly tissues, as we're finally diving into the deep end.
With Tremendous Love and Appreciation,
Greylish
