KAILANI THOUGHT THAT THIS WHOLE PHOTOSHOOTWAS the definition of a bad idea. Her heart was pounding in her chest as she arrived at the Rush House — the Beverly Hills mansion that stood there, fluorescent and modern. They'd rented it out with the help of a famous friend. It was a long story but the singer was one of the first friends she made in the main industry, after the whole Charli thing.
The Harlow Sisters pulled up in a black car, a BMW that was gifted to them by their parents, they sat in the car for a few minutes. Kameron could tell that her younger sister was nervous, they were at one of her favourite places and she wasn't already sprinting out of the car at top speed.
She reached out and grabbed her sister's hand. "If you feel uncomfortable at all while you're there, just call me, okay?" Kam smiled comfortingly, Kailani had to admit that it made her feel a little better.
"It's all good. I'm fine," Kai smiled back, shaking her head, "plus, Quen, Rey, and Alex are gonna be there too."
"But are you okay with Charli being there?" Kam knew that she wasn't going to get a reply when Kailani refused to look at her, staring into the distance.
"It just sucks that no one bothered to tell me until five minutes ago." Kai reached for her seatbelt, unfastening it.
"Make sure you tell Dixie I'm waiting outside for her. Bye, love you, sis!"
"Bye, love you too!" Kailani yelled back with a wave and she headed into the backyard, where they would be. The photographer was already set up on the lengthy patio — Alexis Warren. She was joined by Mika, who was trying to get things sorted for everyone else.
As expected, Reyna was making herself busy next to the snack table, demolishing all of the sweets before anyone else could. Kai snickered watching Quinn whacking her hands away. "Save some for everyone else!" She heard her girlfriend scold.
Kai looked over to the other side of the yard, near the poolside where Amelie and Kelsey had made themselves comfortable in the pool, having a merciless splashing competition in the clear blue water.
She then glanced closely over the side she was on, with the only patch of green grass. On it stood exactly who she expected — Dixie and, of course, one D'Amelio didn't come without the other so Charli. Kai assumed that the other two, Annie and Amanda, were inside somewhere.
"Hey Kai!" Dixie shouted out as she approached them, "it's good to see you. I'm so glad that you and Charli are friends again." Even though that was undetermined right now, but Kai smiled at both of them nevertheless. Charli's eyes averted nervously.
