Sara and Ava were both laughing, joking around, drinking whiskey when Gideon informed The Captain that Thea Queen is calling.
The Captains both give each other worried looks but accept the call.
"Hey Speedy, what's wrong?" Sara asks worriedly when she she's Thea with red puffy eyes.
"Hi Sara, ehhh I'm sorry" Sara can see Thea is in the brink of sobbing.
"Speedy?" Sara steps closer to the screen looking at her childhood friend.
"It's Nyssa, god I'm so sorry Sara!" Thea puts a hand over her mouth to queit down her sob.
"No? No Thea?!"Sara hesitatedly says dropping her glass making it fall on the ground.
"We were fighting against The League of Shadows, we were under numbered, she got me and Roy out but, a shadow shot her." Thea sobs more explaining what happened to Sara.
Sara legs it out of the room, sobs wreaking her body on her way, she's halfway down the halls where she collapses on the floor, back on the wall, hugging her knees, rocking back and forth, sobbing her body out.
Sara doesn't know how long she's been on the floor until strong arms wrap around hers.
Few Hours Later...
Sara wakes up in her bed with Ava holding her.
"Hey, sleepyhead" Ava says softly
Sara just buries herself deeper into Ava's warmth.
"I can't believe she's dead" Sara says awkwardly breaking the silence.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Ava questions.
"Wouldn't that be weird talking about my ex to you?" Sara looks up at her girlfriend.
"Yes but I wanna be here for you too!" Ava softly kisses her nose.
"She saved me, you know, I was dieing on Lian Yu, my leg was broken, I was starving. Next thing I know I'm in a luxurious room, half my body bandaged. I don't think I would've survived The League if it wasn't for her. She was my first real serious relationship but I knew we would never be a couple outside The League. She released me from The League too. After I died from poisiness venom,"
The couple both laugh.
"When I went back to The League to stop the seige, we became friends, we made a promise to each other." Sara explains to Ava.
"What was the promise?" Ava asks.
"We both picked someone we promised to be there for someone, like she was to me." Sara whips away her her tears.
"Who did you pick?" Ava asks snuggling more to Sara.
"Nyssa picked Laurel, I picked Oliver." Sara answers with more tears in her eyes.
"How come she picked Laurel?"
"In League Law when you name someone your Beloved, you put their blood siblings under their protection." Sara explains.
They both tighten their grip on eachother
"She liked you" Sara says
"What?"
"Yeah, when I was in Star City last month, she was getting her divorce with Ollie. We talked about our lives and time-travel. I believe her words were 'sounds like I finally got someone to keep me out of trouble' oh and she liked your eyes."
They both giggle.
"I try" Ava shrugs looking at Sara.
"I love you, Ava Sharpe."
"I love you, Sara Lance."
