Today's the day I go to my new school and meet new people. I say "people" because you never know whether some will be a friend or a new enemy. I've heard of this school before, and it's the best in the world! I have no idea how I've gotten in but I guess all I had to do was take a survey.
<FLASHBACK >
I'm walking down the street to the nearby grocery store when an old man with a long white beard appears in front of me. I'm on guard at first, but I can somehow tell he is an honest man, so I calm down a bit. He says he wants to know if I want to take a quick survey about a school. I don't like the one I'm currently attending, so I agree.
"All you have to do is answer a few of these questions and sign your name at the end," the man instructs. I nod and take the sheet of paper. I look through the questions and they are all abnormal, I would say, because I don't know what they have to do with a school.
The questions are:
1.) What is a fairytale?
2.) Are they real?
3.) Give an example of a magical person you know.
.
.
.
.
.
.
10.) What are your magical abilities?
What kind of question is 10? I don't know either but I try to give my best and very honest answer. Actually, all the questions were confusing, but I just answered with my best insight on all of them and hand the paper back to the man. He thanks me and then, I think... Vanishes?< END OF FLASHBACK >
Now that I think about it, that encounter was kind of weird. But I got a package with a letter a few days ago telling me I got in the school and how to get there. My uniforms were inside and I have to say that I'm glad I don't have to wear skirts. Anyways, everything I need was inside so I basically had to pack nothing except some snacks I want to eat on the way. I'm really nervous but I know I'll be better off at the new school. I don't like my old one and Mr. and Mrs. Kim, my guardians, have taken care of me for long enough. I've already told them I will be going to N. River-Castle, and they agreed.
The time is now 5:45 AM. The letter said someone will pick me up right about now.
"It's time, Aunty and Uncle! Thank you for taking care of me! I'll be heading out!"They come running over and hug me; I can tell they're sad. It's because I'm like their daughter they never had. They treat me as if I'm really their daughter, and I love them both back like that.
"Before you leave, take this with you," Aunty says and hands me a thin gold charm bracelet with one charm on it.
"What is it for?" I ask. Yes, it's a charm bracelet, but they know I don't wear jewelry often, so I am confused.
"It's something important. That's all I can say right now, but good luck and have fun at your new school, ok?" Uncle says on the verge of tears. He's usually not like this, but with him, you never know.
"Alright," I reply and put the bracelet on my right wrist.
Then I hear a car's horn honk and head out the door. "Thank you again, Aunty and Uncle! I love you guys and promise to try to write as many letters home as possible!" I shout halfway across the driveway and then get in the car that has an official North River-Castle Academy logo on it.
(A/N: She's fallen asleep during the car ride so there's no way to explain the magical car ride. I wish I could, but I'm only the author. ;)

"Miss, we're here. You should be careful getting out. There are many people here so it's quite crowded," the driver informs me as I wake up.
"Ah, yes. Thank you," I reply.
As soon as I step out he car, I am amazed. The school is huge! It's a literal castle and it's surrounded by mountains. It has a river that flows into a lake behind it too! I look around at the other students rushing into the school and I see they're all so... perfect-looking. All of the girls are beautiful and the boys are all handsome! How is that even possible? I'm the only one wearing glasses too.
Anyways, I get my stuff out of the trunk and thank the driver again. I then head to the school. Inside, I get my schedule and dorm room number. My schedule is also as weird as the survey I took because every class has something to do with fairytales except music and entertainment class. I don't really care though, so I head to my dorm to put my stuff away.

When I'm done, I check myself in the mirror once again to make sure I look at least presentable compared to the other perfect-looking students. I fix my glasses and check. Now to find my classroom in this huge castle of a school. My first and only class I'll be staying in is Homeroom- room E612. It's probably in the 6th floor of the east building, which is the opposite of where I am right now, so I should hurry.
I make my way to Homeroom but I start to get nervous as the perfect-looking students start whispering and pointing at me. Did I do something wrong?
I just ignore it and speed walk to my class.Just before the door, I take a deep breath and when I'm finally ready, I open it, only to be greeted by a bunch of shocked perfect-looking classmates.
*cricket sounds*
They just stare at me and I get nervous, so I just stare at the ground until someone clears their throat and says, "H-Hi."I reply with a weak wave and a soft barely-audible ,"Hello."
I then look up and see the most perfect face in the world.A/N: Did you guys enjoy the first chapter? I know it's really boring, but the second chapter is probably much more exciting than this. Hopefully! ^^ Thanks for reading!
P.S. The official song for this FF is "XOXO" if you're wondering. ^^ I mean, it might have been hard to tell, right? Hahaha ;)
