Ryan's P.O.V.

Ava has been here for a month now, and she seems to have calmed down a little. She isn't as cautious around everyone like when she first got here, my parents absolutely love her, and she's been getting along with everyone, even Liam.

When she opened up to me on our date about her past, I was happy. She isn't a monster like she thinks she is, and I'm bound and determined to make her see that. I know there's a lot more she hasn't told me, but I don't care my opinion will never change.

My wolf is going crazy, everyone has talked about the mate bond, telling me about all these feelings you have for your mate and they're right. All day, everyday Ava is on my mind. Everytime Ava and I make love, I'm holding my wolf back. He's begging to mark her but she's not ready. I thank the Moon Goddess every chance I get for giving me her. She might be a Fallen Angel, but I see the kindness and the love she has for me and our pack. I only wished Ava could see what I see in her.

Right now, I'm sitting on the porch drinking a beer with Liam, Sam and Jack watching as Ava is shooting little flaming stars into the water from her fingers, making all the pack kids laugh.

"You're in love with Avaaaaaa." Jack teased.

I punched his shoulder, as everyone laughed. "I wished she'd let me mark her, my wolf is going crazy. I'm so glad I waited for her, the sex is-"

"On fire, wicked, hot as hell?" Jack said, finishing my sentence.

"I wasn't going to say that but yes, it was amazing and I can't imagine it getting any better."

"For being a Fallen Angel, she's pretty cool. She's nice to look at too." Sam joked, as he watched her get chased by the kids.

I growled, punching his shoulder, again making everyone laugh.

"I think Adam would agree, he talks about her non stop." Liam said, taking a drink of his beer.

She was joking around asking them not to touch her with their sticky hands, so of course that's what they we're trying to do. Watching her with the kids made me laugh and love her even more. All of a sudden Ava stopped dead in her tracks and looked at me, "Something is near." She yelled.

As she was doing that, we all noticed too. She gathered all the kids and got them to the house, as Liam, Jack and Sam shifted and took off.

"Baby, stay here and keep them safe until their parents come get them. I'll be back!" I gave her a quick kiss and took off.

I caught up with others. We were in the middle of the field, the threat was near; I could smell them. Out of the woods came three creatures that looked like wolves, but with multiple eyes and creepy. They came after us, they were fast, but not as fast and alert as we were. I was able to kill one within seconds. The other two were fighting with my other pack warriors. They we're stronger than the one I just killed. Liam threw the one in my direction, falling in front of me as I ripped off his head. The third was killed shortly after.

As we looked and smelled around, the danger was gone. I told Andy; a guard at the house to bring Ava.

We all shifted and got dressed when Ava and Andy came running. She was fast and so hot when she was running.

She was looking around, smelling the air. "Banehounds. How many we're there?"

"Three. What the hell are they?" I asked.

"Kind of like werewolves, but in demon form. They're not allowed on Earth, I just told my father they were here and he's looking into this."

Ava walked up to me and gave me a hug, "I'm so glad you're okay, I have a strong feeling they we're here for me."

"We can keep you safe."

"Ryan, I'm not worried about me. I can handle myself, it's you and this pack I'm worried about-"

She pulled away like she was listening to someone. "My father said something or someone opened the gates letting the banehounds in, the gates have been locked down tight again."

We headed back to the pack house. I could tell Ava was thinking about something, most likely about what just happened.

I know she's strong, but I'll make sure that no one hurts her, ever!
