I mean maybe this move wouldn't be so bad, I'll finally be on my own, away from everyone. I graduated from high school here upstate less than a month ago and moving to the city that is NYC is going to be a big change. I've decided that buying my own apartment will be better than living in a dorm. Basically because my anxiety is already bad enough and I'd rather be alone. I mean I have a few friends but they'll be left to go on their own college paths. And as for boyfriends I've never had any, well unless you count that one relationship from middle school. Maybe I'll meet someone in the city.
Tomorrow is moving day, leaving today for all the goodbye's. I'll spent all day doing the last bit of packing of my room. I've decided to borrow my mom's car and stop by my friends houses to say my last goodbye.
In about 10 minutes I'd arrived at my best friend Mckenzie's house. I rang the doorbell and within a few seconds Mckenzie appeared, holding a rather large bag. For a good five minutes we exchanged "goodbyes" and "good lucks" and " I'll miss yous". After this she handed me the bag.
"I got you a few going away presents"
I peered into the bag to see a card and a couple items. I thanked her and hugged a few more times and said a final farewell before seeing the tears in her eyes. This only making me realize I was tearing up too. My best friend in the whole world is standing in front of me and we're both leaving to go our separate ways.

After having my last dinner with my mom and dad before I leave I headed up to my room. I double checked everything making sure it'll be ready to go tomorrow morning. My whole room was packed away in boxes except for tomorrow's change of clothes and my laptop, phone, and their chargers. I decided to hop in the shower and afterwards braid my hair for tomorrow. I headed back downstairs to sleep on the couch, I had to get a good nights sleep since I have to get up at 4am. I set a few alarms on my phone and fell asleep.
