It had been a few weeks since Lauren was attacked.
Buck would not leave her alone for more than a minute. He had her come to the fire station,because he still did not trust her being alone.
Maddie still hadn't met her Buck planned on it a couple weeks ago,but since the attack his kind had only been on keeping Lauren safe.

"Hey Buck,I know your worried about me, but I can promise you I'm an adult,I can take care of myself."
Lauren said as she sat beside Buck in his Jeep.
He took the keys out of the ignition.
"and I know that,but until your safety is guaranteed I can't risk anything."
"BUCK!"
"Listen I know your worried about me!" "But I am 23 I know I can handle myself,so please just let me do that."
She said slamming the door,and storming off into the fire house.

Evan reluctantly unbuckled his seat belt and hopped out of the car.

He understood how frustrated she probably was but he knew he needed to protect her.
If she was going to be mad at him then so be it.

Talking to Athena
"I just keep on telling him that I can handle myself "
"Sweetie he knows that."
"No he doesn't,I am 23 i can completely handle myself."
"Honey,how do you think he feels that he found out just under 5 weeks ago that he has a younger sister."
"It is a shock to him, and he wants to do anything to protect you." "He probably thinks he failed you."
"You have to make sure he knows he didn't."
"Even though you are an adult,I understand that but you are still his little sister."
"Okay the truth is I love him,and I'm glad he is my older brother."
"But I'm also scared to disappoint him."
"Baby, you are his pride and joy."
"He has someone to look out for,expect him to be there for you always."
"He will won't he."
She said and they both stared at Buck fooling around with the fire hose.
"He is such a dork."
Lauren finished saying before Athena and her started cackling.
"He loves you,never forget that."
Lauren nodded and her face became serious.
"Hey also I'm meeting my older sister Maddie today."
"You got any advice?"

"She will love you."
"And I'm surprised you haven't met her yet,she is around here a lot."

"Yeah I've been a little busy still trying to find the man who attacked me."
"Lauren you can tell me."
"I will,I'm just really nervous, I already told Buck he knows his name".

"Whenever you are ready,I will get up and catch this guy."

"Also be in mind,if he attacked you he probably will attack again,nonetheless you or someone else."
"Yeah,okay can I call you tonight".

"Yes does 8:00 sound good,sweetie?"
Athena said handing Lauren her business card.
"Call this number and I will be on the end of the line."
"Sounds good,thank you again Athena."
Lauren said standing up.
"Anytime,baby."
Athena said hugging Lauren.
"Bye."
Athena said putting her sunglasses on.
"Bye."
Lauren said and waved back.

Meeting Maddie
"Hey I'm Lauren."
I said as I walked up to her,Buck was behind me so he could explain."
Maddie looked like our mom,her brown eyes and brunette hair,even had her nose,Buck looked more like dad. At least I've seen from his pictures
"Maddie."
Buck said narrowing his eyes toward me.
"Oh hi,do you need my help with something."

"No I'm Lauren Buckley,Buck and I have met a couple weeks ago but I still hadn't met you so..."
"Here I am."

"Evan you knew about a sister and failed to mention to me."
"She wanted to Introduce herself."

"A proper introduction was in order."
Lauren said smiling.

Then they all smiled.
The Buckley kids had the same glowing smile.

"Well in that case."
"Hey do you guys want to go get something to eat,I'm starving so you guys must be."

"Actually yes,I'm starving."
"I could eat."the second oldest Buckley said.
"Also that way I can get to know you better."
Maddie said and wrapped her arm around Lauren.
"Because I'm tired of this one."
Maddie teased and Buck and her playfully fought on the way out.

"I love you guys."
Maddie was stunned but Buck said
" I love you too kid."
Lauren loved how he referred to her as kid.

"Let's blow this popsicle stand."
Maddie said.
