She looks over to smile as Luke sat down on the bed. "Okay, so um. Let's talk about something else. I have my guitar here. So what do you want to listen to?"

"Well can you play-"

Knock. Knock.

Flynn and Luke look over at the door to hear someone lightly knocking. Luke grins before placing his guitar on the bed. He gets off the bed before making his way over to the door. Since the beginning of living in this home and being over the age of five. His mother and father, or anyone, would have to knock on the door to get in his room. Because he doesn't want to be scared like last time.

Opening his door, he finds his mother, Emily, with a handful of snacks and drinks on the table behind her. "Honey, you didn't come downstairs for dinner so I brought snacks instead."

Emily held a delicate warm smile on her face, despite arguing with Luke for many years about playing guitar loudly in the house. "Sorry, mom... I was busy catching Flynn up with my life."

"It's nice to see you making friends with new people." Emily beamed as Flynn smiles.

"Nice to meet you, Flynn."

"Nice to meet you, too, Mrs. Patterson!" Bubbled Flynn as she gets off the bed to make her way to stand in front of her. She was a little shorter than his mom by maybe an inch. Luke grabs the snacks and drinks from her mother as they continue to talk about common things that Luke doesn't understand.

"Just call me Emily, dear..." She says as Flynn nods. Luke watches as his mother excuses herself from the room to go and clean up the kitchen. Luke sits back down on his bed as he looks over at Flynn to see her smiling.

"I love your mom. I wish my mom was here with me..."

Luke grimaces as he sighs. "I wish I felt your pain. Instead, my pain is shoved into the love department..."

"Okay, how about we talk about crushes? There's got to be someone you are crushing on..." Flynn blurted as she looked at Luke. He just shrugged his shoulders as he grabbed a random guitar pick from a pile that was left in his drawer. Picking up a violet-pink one, he looks up at Flynn.

"I never had romantic feelings for anyone because they aren't my type or they just don't understand me."

Flynn nods as she hears Luke's solo riffing over a melody that hasn't been with him since he died. He felt alive. Just from hearing the single little melody, Luke felt butterflies invade his stomach again.

Filling them up with a warm feeling that hasn't been present since he died. "I just don't like them because I'm still stuck up for someone who isn't here..."

Flynn smiles a bit before looking up at Luke. "Can you like someone because of how they sing?"

Luke bits his lower lip as he thinks of an answer that will help Flynn with her question. If he were being honest, he did like his late boyfriend's voice more than his own... Placing his guitar down on the bed, he looks over at Flynn. Dropping the pick inside of the draw, he glances up at Flynn. "I don't know because it is different for different people. You can like someone because of their voice in one song. But the next song is completely different because it isn't the same as the last one."

"She was singing a song and-"

"Ooo! Tell me! What is her name? I might know the song she sang!"

"I heard people say her name was Julie..."

Luke's eyes widen as he stares, surprised at her. "Julie Molina? My bestie?"

Luke lets out a squeal as he gets off the bed to be in front of her. He grabs her hands and he holds them in the opposite hand. Looking at her, he grins. "Julie Molina. The one with the "Julie" necklace."
