A million dreams (Douxie Casperan x Oc)

An other day

Nathalie's POV

Now, another day of school. Ugh. Again. Me and my mother have been fighting for weeks, I have stopped by the café a lot recently. I got a lot of homework lately. But THANKFULLY the weekend is approaching and today is Friday, I will survive school, get all my work done, even the homework because I will have finished everything before anyone!!! Then I will go for a nice walk and have a relaxing weekend and sleep! This probably won't happen with my luck but hey, it's good to have dreams. Now, reader, you are probably wondering what happened with me and Donnie? Well, we talked and decided just to remain friends because it would be best for both of us. I have also been talking a lot more with Toby and Jim! They are really nice and the only real friends I have at school. I also know that Jim has a crush on the theater kid, Claire Nuñez! Which I think is adorable!! And actually, over the weekend, I am going to his house for a late welcoming dinner.

Time skip

I am almost done with my assignment! I was in the last class of the day, math, and Ms. Janeth gave us an other test but as usual, I finished super early so I was getting my work done. I soon finished my homework so I wouldn't have to do it later, huh, I guess things will be ok after all. The final bell rings and the rain that previously fell, diminished as I approached my locker to put away the rest of the stuff I didn't need. 

I walked to the school exit, my mom FINALLY got the massage and stopped picking me up! I hopped on my skateboard when Steve Palchuck stepped in front of me like an asshole, even as a freshman, he was the school bully. "What do you want Steve?" I asked in a monotone voice, annoyance dripping from each word. I didn't have time for this! I had to get back to the house!! "What did you just say to me buttsnack?! You got something better to do" "Steve let me pass! I have a life to get back to!" I said trying to get past him to no avail. Without warning, the wind picked up AGAIN! God, that had been happening a lot recently. With the noise the wind was creating, I couldn't hear Steve, thankfully. So I discreetly motioned my hand and made his shirt drag him out of my was as I quickly escaped. As I was skating down the street, I decided to stop by the café when I realized something. I need a job. Back in New York, I was a waitress and I was pretty damn good at it. I saw Douxie walk tiredly out of the café doors. I guess he was taking a 30 minute break? Once he saw me he perked up. "Hey Nathalie!" He said "Hey Doux!" I responded "To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you on such a lovely afternoon?" He said flirtatiously, leaning on the take next to him. I chuckled and said "Lookin for a job, anything to get me out of the house." He smiled "Well you've come to the right place, one of the waitresses here quit so we're looking for someone to fill the position." "Oh really, why?" I asked "The waitress, Zoe, said that she no longer needed this job as she found one working at a record store, along with her job at HexTech. I also work in the bookshop next to it so it doesn't really bother me." Douxie explained. I nodded. " I'm gonna go talk to my boss so that he can interview you." And he walked away.

~A few moments later~

Douxie told me to go inside where his boss would be waiting for me.

I walked out feeling pretty confident that I got the job.

"So how'd it go?" Douxie asked me "Honestly, pretty well." I replied "well, I am officially off work in 3,2,1!" He said while looking down at his watch, then it beeped marking an alarm probably. "So, you wanna do something? We could get ice cream, or go for a walk, or get ice cream..." he repeated kind of implying that he wanted ice cream😂. "How about we go for a walk and on the way get ice cream." I suggested "that's actually perfect because I don't have a car. Or any vehicle for that matter..." He admitted as we started walking. I sort of just let him lead the way since I still wasn't totally sure where everything was. On the way, he asked me "So, have you had any visions lately?" (yes he knows about that, also, when Nathalie doesn't have a vision, her sleep is dreamless) "actually, yes. In it, there was a... creature. It had horns and sharp teeth and stone for skin. It was wearing this strange armor powered by a blue amulet. Even though he was scary looking, I could sense he was good. He then spoke an incantation, 'for the glory of Merlin, daylight is mine to command' and then he sort of, changed into a boy, he looked about 15 with black hair and blue eyes." I decided not to tell him it was my neighbor, Jim. As I was explaining, Douxie's eyes widened and he looked like he knew something but that look quickly disappeared and he said "wow, that's strange. Pretty cool though." "Yeah." I replied

We passed the alleyway that I had spray painted a few weeks back. The bag of paints were gone but my art remained. I hoped Douxie wouldn't notice it, if he found out it was me, he could turn me in to the police and I would have to pay a large fee. "Oh hey what's this?" Crap. He saw. "Oh yeah that's cool." I said nervously. "I wonder who did it" Douxie said looking at me still cool as a cucumber. "Yeah." I said starting to sweat a little "was it you?" He asked calmly. I was freaking out "Whaaaaat? Noooooooooooooooooooooo..." I said looking in an other direction "ok yeah, it was me." I confessed "Well, i think this is cool!" Douxie said happily admiring what i did. "Really? You're not gonna tell the cops?" I asked surprised "Of course not, your my friend. You don't have to lie to me ya know. You can trust me." He said reassuringly. "Also you are a terrible liar." He said  with a smirk on his face. "Hey!" I said while punching him lightly in the shoulder "ow, you hit me!!" He whinned "Oh come on, i didn't even hit you that hard!" I said laughing "HoW dArE yOu LaUgH aT mY pAiN!!!!" He said dramatically. We both burst out laughing at that. After about 5 minutes, we kept walking. 

We arrived at the ice cream shop and ordered a caramel ice cream and a mint chocolate chip. As we went to pay, the lady said "you know, couples get a discount here~" i blushed a little and looked at Douxie, he had a look on his face that said 'play along' and he put his arm around my waist, i felt a little weird about that but went along with it and i laid my head on his shoulder. "Oh great!" He said. The lady then took off 3 dollars and gave us our ice creams, on the way out she added "you guys are so cute together!" "Thanks." We said in unison. As soon as we got out. We started laughing "ok that was weird😂!" I said "Yeah but it saved us 3 dollars!" Douxie replied and i shook my head. "I am not doing that again." I said eating my ice cream. "But i mean, would it be the worst thing? We might actually be a cute couple." He said flirtatiously as he put his arm back around my waist. " In your dreams, lover boy!" I said pushing him away. He chuckled a little. "Should i walk you home? The Sun is going down." He said pointing out the obvious "Sure." "Ok, you lead the way cause i don't know where you live." He said as we started walking

Along the way, noticed how much taller than me he was. Douxie had to be at least 6 feet tall!! Gosh i felt like a midget!(no offense) Douxie finished his ice cream cone and had mint chocolate chip all over his face. When I saw this, I almost choked on air! Doux noticed this and gave me a weird look "are you ok? Do I have something on my face?" He asked "ya, just a little something" I said gesturing to most of his face. I showed him his reflection in the camera of my phone "oh fuzzbucketts!" He said starting to understand what was so funny. "Here, I got an extra napkin." I said handing one to him. He mostly cleaned himself up but some of the desert had dried. "Thanks." He said throwing the dirty paper napkin into a near by trash can.

We turned a corner that I recognized, we were close to my house. "We're almost there." I said. Douxie looked at a shop that had many old pieces of technology in it. I'm sure Donnie would love it in there. "Oh hey! You live near Stuart's Electronics!!" He pointed out enthusiastically "cool!"I said 

We soon arrived at my house and it was dark outside. "Well, we're here." I said as I walked up to my front door. "So, I should get back to my place, my cat is probably waiting for me." Douxie said as he started to walk away. "I guess, I might see you at work, if I got the job. But I'll see you anyways." I said Douxie waved goodbye as I entered my house dreading the fact that I would have to see my mom again.
