[Everything in bold is said in korean]

People always misunderstood Yoongi. They took one look at him, taking in his silence and quiet disposition and immediately pinned him down as a deep, introverted, mysterious man who carried the secrets of the world on the tip of his tongue and had an on going monologue inside his head 24/7.

In reality, Yoongi liked to think of himself as a simple person. Sure, he had spurts on introspectiveness and epiphanies that led to entire albums, but between periods of overworking himself to exhaustion, his brain liked to play the Wii theme song on repeat to rest.

Surrounding himself with simple pleasures was his coping mechanism. Coffee made him happy, so he drank as much as he could before Jin found out and made a speech about the dangers of caffeine. Hoseok made him happy, so he tended to keep him as close as possible. You made him happy, so he kept watching you, unapologetically so.

Unlike Namjoon, there wasn't a deep rooted reason for his fascination. He thought you were cute and he liked cute things. That was the extent of it. You were visually soothing and your whole aesthetic was to him like a lullaby. You sent his workaholic, fried, error-404 brain into a state of relaxation that he sometimes had a hard time reaching on his own.

Naturally, as it was the evolution of all fan-based daydreams, he sometimes wondered what it would be like to meet you. If your presence would potentialize everything you made him feel, if you were just as cute in person or not. More and more he caught himself doing it at the most inappropriate moments, making it hard to focus on anything and giving Namjoon a run for his money in the clumsiness department. It started with little things, like spacing out during a writing session and had now fully escalated to driving his band mates up the wall in exasperation by going into the shower fully dressed. It came to the point where they almost considered contacting you, if only to get this fascination out of his system.

Thankfully they didn't have to wait too long for that.

It was just the day after the concert and they were back to rehearsals, despite the member's foul mood. It was a painfully hot day and every move seemed to slowly bring them to a state of pure dehydration. When the choreographer finally gave them a break, the boys fell straight to the ground, laying there like sweaty starfishes. "I don't think I'll ever be able to move again." Yoongi grumbled.

Jin gave him two shaky thumbs up "Well, you already avoid that as hard as you can so really you are halfway done".

"Jungkook" Namjoon called from where he was wheezing, breathing like Darth Vader with asthma "Get us some water, will you?"

"Why me?" whined the maknae.

"You're the youngest" said Jimin, and everyone nodded at his reasoning.

"Still got that youthful glow and everything."

"Strong bones"

"A will to live."

"Jesus Christ, Yoongi!"

"I'm joking!"

Jungkook did go get water, despite all the mumbled cursing and constant complaining. It was only one flight of stairs to where they kept cold drinks and if he was completely honest he really didn't feel as tired as his hyungs. He was coming back down, skipping stairs with an armful of bottles when he saw you and the world spinned for a second, as if tilting itself sideways to slide him closer to you, where he belonged.

At least that's how he liked to see it. What you saw, standing on the other end of the hallway, was him faceplanting down the stairs, water going everywhere while he hit the ground with a loud bang.
