This was simultaneously your wildest dream and your worst nightmare. No amount of fake interviews in your bedroom where you pretended to be part of the Avengers cast could prepare you for the real thing. The lights were too bright, your hands were shaking and you couldn't help but feel like a fraud. You didn't deserve any of this! There was no reasonable explanation as to why you were so popular in Korea, why people there found your content so interesting that they would be willing to watch a whole interview of you.

"Are you ready, miss L/N?" a middle-age woman waves at you, smiling at your discomfort, but not in a mean way.

"No?" you said, fiddling with the hem of your dress "Is it normal to feel like I'm about to throw up?"

The lady just continued smiling, linking her arms with yours like you were old friends "Nothing normal is worth your time, girl."

"That doesn't make any sense but it explains a lot."

"It's about to start" someone called from the living room.

The boys piled up on the couch as if being summoned, rising from different spots of the house. Jungkook took his premium seat right down the middle of the couch, Jimin and Yoongi by his side. Across the room, Hobi and Tae were laughing at Seokjin's exasperated screaming "Namjoon how did you... How on EARTH did you manage to set fire to microwave popcorn?".

"I left a spoon in! I'm so sorry, hyung."

"Why did you need a spoon?! It's popcorn, Joon!"

The answer to that question was left unheard as the host of the afternoon show started to announce your presence, bringing their leader and their oldest back to the room, no popcorn to be seen.

"Do you think she's gonna mention us?" Taehyung asked from his spot, head on Hobi's shoulder.

Jimin groaned, hands covering his blushing face "God, I hope not. That was the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me."

"Really? Even more embarrassing than..."

"You know what, let's not play this game..."

"Shh... It's starting!"

"She is one of the most popular Youtubers across the world with her unique content and charming personality and has just recently moved to Korea, give it up for Y/N/!"

The boys watched as you appeared on screen, waving shily at the audience. You looked beautiful in a dark dress and heeled boots, but as a group who had had their fair share of interviews they could easily recognize your nervousness and discomfort. Jimin couldn't take his eyes from you, quietly sending you positive thoughts and small waves of encouragement, as he too often felt out his element under expectant eyes.

"Y/N, welcome" the host said in english, clearly making an effort for you.

"Thank you so much, it's great to be here!"

Laughter erupted in the audience and in the living room at the host shocked expression. Even you, as nervous as you seemed to be, cracked a tiny smile.

"You speak Korean?" the host exclaimed "Since when?"

"I started learning when I was seven. I'm very close with one of my cousins, he's like a brother to me and his dad is Korean and payed for classes so he could learn the language. At the time I thought my cousin was the coolest person ever, which i now know better" the audience laughed and you seemed to relax a bit "so I annoyed my parents until they payed for my classes too. Their only condition was that I had to learn portuguese as well, 'cause my dad is Brazilian. So now I know three languages and can't efficiently communicate in any of them."

The audience laughed once more, already completely enamoured by you.

"Now, now... Don't say that! You clearly can communicate enough to have a legion of fans! You know have 12 million subscribers on Youtube and so many more followers on other platforms. What do you think made you as big as you are now? How do you account for your success?"

"An algorithm mistake? Or maybe I was a saint in a past life?" you shook your head in slight disbelief "This was never something I planned or something I believed I deserve. I know it sounds ungrateful when I put it like that, but truly this happened very organically and I can't help but feel a little bit like an impostor."

It was so weird how much Jimin can relate to your story and slowly throughout the interview he finds himself nodding at the things that you say, creating threads of correlation between his life and yours, as if you were a metaphor for his life and at the same time the complete antithesis to it - just quieter and less intense.

About halfway through the interview the dreaded subjected came up, making the members hold their breath in fear "So I've heard that you're an Army, right?" the host asked and something must've gotten lost in translation because you immediately raised your arms in denial "God, no, I can't fight at all. I mean, I am decently coordinated but I hate confrontation and waking up early is against everything I stand for..."

"No, no, no" the host interrupted as the audience giggled at your mistake "What I meant was, are you a BTS fan?"

"Oh!" you blushed and Jimin couldn't help but swoon at your pretty rosy cheeks "Then yes, absolutely! I went to their concert a few days ago and it was unlike anything I ever seen, I swear I blacked out for at least five minutes."

The members couldn't help but smile, the room filled with pride at their performance. They might have been an absolute mess the first time they saw you (a still sensitive subject, to which they applied the very mature philosophy of pretending it never happened, much like some debatable fashion choices) , but at least the first time you saw them was not the same.

"Do you have a favorite member? Who's your bias?"

Silence fell, deafening in its tension. Even you seemed to be out of words until...

"It's gotta be me." said Jin, crossing his arms behind his back, looking very relaxed and confident for someone who had just started an uproar.

"You?!"

"Why you?"

"I am just as handsome as you!"

"Now you're just delusioning yourself!

"I'm gonna play the Most Handsome Face card.."

"And I'll play the reverse card!

"Why would you bring Uno into this, you know he can't play!"

"Shut up!" Yoongi finally snapped as the host smiled at you saying "That makes so much sense!"

"No!" Jungkook ran to the television, eyes wide and desperate "What did she say?! What did she say?! Rewind it!"

"It's live television, we can't!"

Frustrated, Jungkook threw himself back to the couch, pouting and crossing arms.

"Well" the host continued "hopefully one day you'll get to meet them."

A funny look crossed your face as you remember your previous meeting with them. Once again, the whole dorm fell silent. Please, they begged to the higher forces that controlled the universe and pushed Jungkook down the stairs, please don't talk about the origin of their shame.

"Hopefully." you answered "They seem very nice."

Relief took over Jungkook, the tightness in his chest letting go bit by bit as you finished the interview, as charming and witty as ever. He didn't know why you chose not to talk about his spectacular failure of an introduction, but he was thankful anyway and promised himself that he would find a way to meet you again and make up for it, even if he had to bother Junsu everyday to get in contact with you.

Later that night, the apartment was quiet and peaceful for the first time in months as the members busied themselves updating Youtube every five minutes in hopes of finding the recording of your interview. When the video was finally up, all they could hear was Jin throwing his phone across the room as you admitted that your favorite member was Yeontan, the puppy.
