Waiting to be Found

Grimlock paced back and forth nearby the building that Sapphire is safely recharging in, he wanted to make himself visible for any autobot that was nearby but mostly for his beloved to find him as he felt his spark pulse with the feeling of want for her. He looked around trying to see over every rubble and debris there was across the openings between the ruined buildings. He sighed knowing it could take some time for her to find them, with this saddening knowledge he went back inside to keep a better eye on his child.

As he entered the building he saw where he placed Sapphire, upon a bench pressed up against the wall. She was curled up into a ball of comfort enjoying her peaceful recharge. Grimlock walked over and sat on the bench next to her and folding his arms across his chest as he let out a sigh of relief feeling better than he did yesterday, the pain and aching aren't as horrible as they were from all the experimentations. He only hopes that the mediocre repairs he did on Sapphire are helping with the pain, he leant back against the wall as he let himself rest a little bit he refuses to fall to recharge. This place might seem safe for now but he still doesn't trust letting down his guard not when he has his fragile sparkling with him.

He felt exhaustion creeping up on him as he kept dipping his head before trying to dodge the deadly grasp of recharge, his head dipped every few moments before finally staying down as he fell into a deep recharge from pushing himself throughout the day as well as the pain taking its toll on him forcing his body to recharge to hopefully repair itself.

A few moments passed by and a few more as Grimlock's optics finally flickered back to life as he groaned as he leant forward unfolding his arms as he rubbed his head before shaking his head of tiredness. He looked around suddenly remembering what happened, he quickly turned to his left seeing if Sapphire was still recharging only to see the spot next to him was empty.
Grimlock immediately jolted you and looked around in a frantic search for his sparkling "S-Sapphire-?!" Worry was intertwined in his voice as he searched the room. Suddenly he felt something light land onto his back while something wrapped around his neck with a gentleness. Grimlock tried his best to see what had dared to jump on him only to see the light saturated blue he knew. "Sapphire.." he let out a sigh of relief happy to know his sparkling was safe "you worried me.. you little trickster" he let out a soft and warm chuckle as he went to reach for Sapphire on his back, she let out more giggles before a little playful squeal as she tried to avoid being grabbed as she let go of his broad shoulders and landed with a little stumble onto the floor.

Grimlock let out another chuckle feeling warmth in his chest from the playfulness of his child almost as if everything in the background just faded. There was no worry of attack, no fear of an ambush. The room was filled with a blissful atmosphere as laughter cut through the deafening silence of abandoned buildings.
Sapphire ran around her father's legs with a mischievous giggle avoiding the mighty grasp of her father. He continued to try and capture her but only barely even turning to her every moment as she was incredibly fast for an untrained bot, he crouched down thinking it could help him catch her only to see her moving back away from him. Grimlock tilted his head at this movement before seeing her dashing towards him with such speed knocking into his chest as she wrapped her arms around his neck once again. The larger bot could do much to stop himself from tipping as he was not prepared for her crazy energy, he fell back onto his rump with a thud as he looked down at her upon his chest with a soft smile under his face guard.

"You have.. too much energy little one" he chuckled warmly before softly rubbing her head with a large hand. She enjoyed the attention as she grinned wildly from the love of her father "I was bored waiting for you to wake up" she let out a little explanation to her burst of energy. "You could've woken me up..?" Grimlock looked to her with a curious look as he sat up straight making her hang just from her arms around his neck. He grabbed her with a unfamiliar gentleness, he was definitely not known for his gentleness but with his family he takes care with every action. His arms wrapped around her as he held her in a comforting grasp as he pressed his head against hers just happy he at least has her by his side through this, That's when it clicked in his head as he remembered the sting in his spark as he quickly got up with Sapphire in his arms jostling her a bit but he quickly gave her a apologetic glance before leaving the building with Sapphire carefully pressed against his broad chest.

"What's happening?" She looked up to her father confused as she rested against his chest just watching where he was taking her. "I feel someone.. in my spark" he let out a huff as he continued to walk in the cracked streets trying to get closer to his one and only. Sapphire looked up at him and only softly rubbed her own chest "is it the ache? My Spark has been aching for a bit.." she turned her attention back to the street as she laid there comfortably against his large chest.
They walked for a bit before Grimlock spoke again with a soft tone "I believe.. it might be your mother.." his chest rumbled with worry, he didn't know if she was hurt, lost or even worst. Sapphire immediately perked up at just the idea of her mother, her mind was flooded with all the warming memories of her mother's soft voice and gentle smile.

"This Tunnel is soooo Long!" The groan echoed throughout the tunnel as well as the loud engines of jets and a heavy duty truck. NeonBlade and Overcharge have been travelling down the tunnel for hours, the exhaustion slowly creeping up on the both of them. Overcharge transformed sliding to a halt "I-I can't drive any longer.. I'm too low to keep going Carrier.." he huffed with exhaustion at the edge of his voice. She transformed landing just a few feet from him as she turned back to him "I-I know.. b-but we're so close.. I-I'm not sure what to b-but I feel it.." she placed a hand over her spark chamber before looking to him with a softness in her optics "we got to keep going.. we'll walk to conserve energon, we're almost there, I can see the exit we need to take from here" she pointed out as it was in the distance along the wall of the tunnel.

Overcharge let out another groan but listened to his mother knowing they had to keep moving forward towards the exit so they can find somewhere to gather supplies or a comfortable place to rest. Neon kept her pace up as she wanted to find whatever was making her spark throb with worry and sadness. She soon approached the small keypad on the support beam with a medium sized door to her right, she pressed the six numbers into the keypad. She waited for a moment before seeing there was zero signs of the door giving way "the power in this tunnel is down.. just our luck" she let out a soft laugh to raise the spirits of the atmosphere. "I don't know what you were expecting Carrier, most of the Planet is practically dead" Overcharge gave a small shrug looking towards Neon only for her to turn to him with a soft glare. "I Am Aware of That.. I just enjoy being an Optimist, unlike Someone" she etched sarcasm into the last part of her sentence.

Overcharge let out a soft laugh before seeing what he could do about the door as he removed the keypad showing the wires underneath "I May not be a electrician or anything fancy, but I think I might be able to persuade the door" he carefully began to mess with the wires. Sparks came off the keypad causing a hiss from Overcharge as he quickly recoiled his servo back from the keypad and shaking away the pain. This got Overcharge a worrisome gaze from his overprotective parent behind him, "a-are you alright-??" Neon squeaked out almost hovering over him as the concern stirred within her chest only for Overcharge to wave his hand softly "Of course I'm alright, I'm a construction Bot" he let out a quiet sigh with a slight annoyance that she still worries at the smallest of injuries.

Even with the little tinkering Overcharge did the door barely moved till suddenly with a strange pulse of power the door opened ever so slightly. Overcharge chest filled with the tiniest amount of pride taking any achievement he can get with something he wasn't even trained in. He grabbed the edge of the doors and used his constructive strength to push the door open enough for himself as he managed to just scrape through the door while his mother notably smaller than him easily squeezed through the door.

NeonBlade looked out at even more ruined buildings of war as she stood on the broken street of the city looking around for any sign of anyone or anything. "We'll be staying at this one, alright?" She questioned still wanting to take her child's opinions in as she pointed to a ruined skyscraper just like the rest in the city but this one seemed more stable. Overcharge looking over the building with hesitation but looked to the other buildings and more hesitation washed up upon his face plate "y-yeah I think that would be the best building" she let out a soft laugh seeing his mind tick away. Both of them walked into the building as she looked around for any sort of supplies like tools or even a small medical kit, she sighed seeing the place was picked cleaned before going up to the next floor were Overcharge was slumped up against the wall on the floor with exhaustion taking over his heavy frame. She smiled knowing full well he deserved to rest as she then sat by the broken windows to look out in case of any Decepticon partol team, if there was any groups like that anymore. She rested her elbows onto her knees as she kneeled, she once again looked over to Overcharge's resting frame as she smiled resting her chin upon her hands before going back to her look out job. No one was sneaking up on her Or her sparkling not today, not ever again.
