The 1916 shark attacks were the first shark attacks to occur 5 people attacked. 4 dead 1 fatally wounded. The victims of the 1916 shark attacks names are. Charles Vansant, Charles Bruder, Lester Stillwell, Stanley Fisher, and Joseph Dunn. All the attacks were in New Jersey. Scientist today argue over what type of shark was responsible for these attacks, either the Great White Shark or the Bull Shark.
