Tasha was busy making her breakfast, which includes eggs, bread and smoothie. She is not very disciplined but the one thing she always has is breakfast to start her day. The year has just started and work has been crazy for her but she always prioritizes herself, not wanting a repeat of what had happened two years ago. Even the thought of it is making her cringe at how much of a workaholic she is.
"Today is Monday and it will be a great week." Tasha said out loud to no one as she transferred her scrambled egg to a plate. She always says this, in an effort to stay positive at the start of the work week.
While eating her breakfast, she looks at her phone to check her schedule, as she always does before she prepares for work. A new event had been added to her calendar without notice and she realised that she only had an hour to get to work. Tasha was ready to curse at whoever scheduled a last minute meeting with her first thing in the morning at the last minute. Her eyes opened widely when she saw all the other management team and human resources (HR) team was invited to the meeting named "Project K".
"MA PLEASE HELP ME TO EAT THE REST OF MY BREAKFAST!!" Tasha screamed to her mom as she ran to the toilet to have a quick shower and get to the office as fast as she can.
"Look at your daughter, always does things at the last minute and is now late for work. Even when she is holding such a high position at work, she is still the same as before." Tasha's mom complained to Tasha's dad who was sitting near the front door, reading his newspaper.
"Well, I'm glad she is still the humble daughter no matter how successful she is. I wouldn't know what would have happened to us if she's not taking care of us now. Her older brothers are so busy with their careers and family that we only see them once a month. I wouldn't trade her for the world." Tasha's dad replied nonchalantly as he continued to read his newspaper. This conversation has happened so many times that he is immune to how Tasha tends to be in a rush a couple times a week in the morning.
"Thanks pa for taking my side. Don't worry ma, no matter how late I am for work, I am the hardest worker at the office and everyone loves me. For now, I'll go and make money to buy everyone good food!" Tasha smiled cheekily at them after suddenly appearing beside them, quickly wearing her favourite white sneakers, already washed up and in her formal clothes. "Love you, ma and pa! Please help me to lock the door. Thank youuuu" Tasha practically screamed as she opened the door and dashed out of the door, with a helmet in hand.
"Ya! When are you going to sell that bike of yours and buy a car? It is so dangerous for my only daughter to be riding that!" Tasha's mom shouted behind her as she watched her daughter get on the motorcycle and start the engine.
Tasha didn't reply, completely used to her mom complaining about her love for riding. No matter how much money she makes, riding is the one mode of transportation that she prefers. The same motorcycle has brought her through University and to where she is now, 7 years later. There is no way she is selling her prized possession.

"Natasha Tan, you have been handpicked to set up our latest branch in Korea, following the recent investment from Naver. It has been a unanimous decision and we believe that you are the best candidate for this. On top of that, it has been made aware to me that you are fluent in Korean Language. That is a big advantage when you are there representing us." Mr Tay, CEO of RoseSnap, the most popular fashion shopping app in the Southeast Asia region.
Tasha sat quietly in her seat, dumbfounded by the news she just received. Tasha did not expect that she would be receiving life changing news when she was speeding her way to work. She made it to the office 10 minutes before the last minute meeting with the management and HR teams.
