A cold and bovine night, a lucid crescent moon perched amidst the scattered graphite grey lumps of clouds, the stars stretched beyond infinity waiting patiently to project their luminescence upon the world below where the luna has not shown her mercy of moonlight guidance yet. The darkness enveloped the land with its long icy fingers, the frosty breeze blew past the trees, shivering them to the core harshly plucking out their frigid leaves. Stray cats and dogs shivered as they fell prey to the same piercing wind no longer a breeze - the humans are no exception either.
Amidst the tall stiff buildings, amidst the hustle and bustle of few quivering pedestrians who're hurrying to get to their homes to escape the convulsing weather, amidst the bright yet foggy lights from the streetlamps lining the broad road shining upon the bricky sidewalk, a full-grown celine cat paddled very peacefully enjoying its solitude which the creature attained after gobbling up a delicious fish from a restaurant trash.
But its remoteness was only temporary as a tall, lean young man came dashing at full speed kicking the mouser away from his hurried path, causing the man to stumble himself but took off again without even acknowledging the poor feline on the hard pavement.
The cat scowled in the man's direction before attempting to get up but a dark-clothed figure lept over it, without harming the creature at all but alarming it a little to cover back.
"Oops sorry, kitty cat!" the figure picked the puss without missing a beat and placed it on a bench nearby. The dark frame towered over and patted the animal's fur before taking off again with a small wave, "Stay safe!"
The cat only tilted its head in confusion as it watched the figure disappear into the not-so-busy street.
The man swiftly turned back to glimpse at the person chasing him hot on his tale. He clutched the suitcase to his chest and increased his speed if it's even possible taking a hast turn, heaving himself to keep running.
However, the figure behind him snaked through the people and skidded along the pavement twisting the heeled boots, picking speed again.
Her burgundy-hued tresses blew past her shoulders, blazing hoary eyes solely focused on the burglar she has been chasing for the past four minutes. She knew her prey would eventually grow tired and stop somewhere while she was nowhere near stopping her limbs. Her digital wristwatch emitted a little beep signaling that the cops're near.
She saw him toppling down a stack of vegetable boxes to pause her chase but she just smirked at his attempt as she hopped over the mess shouting a sorry to the angry shopkeeper and bolted forward. The stealthy man cursed under his breath, panting hard.
Our heroine thought it was enough running for one night before picking up a long cricket bat on a bicycle and a wholesome orange from a shop earning a shout which she gladly ignored.
'It's half-rotten anyway' she rolled her eyes inside her socket before coming to a halt scratching her foot on the floor. Her smoky optics scrutinized the distance between the still dashing man and calculated angles, projection, force, etc., precisely in a couple of seconds before throwing the vegetable up in the air and hitting it head-on.
