Chapter 5- run away

Back into Ruby's POV

My eyes slowly opened and I didn't know where I was. My surroundings weren't familiar.

I sat up from the bed I was on and an arm around my waist tightened and I looked down to see a sleeping Ashton.

Ashton?

Everything started to come back to me.

Ashton.
The party.
The guy I danced with.
Ashton saving me.

I looked down at Ashton's sleeping form and couldn't help but see how adorable he looked. I know I hate him but he just saved me and looks so cute when he sleeps.

I can't stay here.

It will be so awkward and I can't handle that. I checked the time and saw it was nearly 7 in the morning. If I get home without waking him, we can forget this ever happened.

I grabbed onto his muscular arm and started to rise it off me but he only groaned and tightened it on me and pulled me down on the bed.

I had to hold on a surprised shriek.

"Ruby" I heard him murmur

I completely froze. Did he just say my name? Was I caught?

I looked up to see that he was still asleep.

What?
Oh well.

I grabbed his arm again pulled over my head and slowly made my way out of the bed and replaced my body with a pillow.

I picked up my high heels and headed towards the door but then I heard the bed creek.

I turned around and saw a sleeping Ashton hugging the pillow I gave him and pulled it to him.

That could be me

Disappointment washed over me. I know I hate him but I still loved being in his arms.

I turned from Ashton and went out the door leaving my hero alone.

I arrived home with mum lying on the couch with empty liquor bottles everywhere.

She was passed out.

I sighed and covers her with a blanket and kissed her on the forehead before carrying myself up the stairs and onto a familiar bed but no familiar arms wrapped around me.
