I woke up with a stir and looked over to my left, hoping to find Ashton but instead of him, I only find cold empty sheets. It's been a day after the anniversary. I still don't know who this Sarah person is but I haven't brought to up yet to Ashton incase he gets angry.

I sigh and look up to the ceiling and close my eyes thinking of the best memories I've had with Ashton.

"Hey kitten" I heard Ashton's voice behind me.

I turned in my seat and saw Ashton walking up to me.

"Hey handsome" I smiled.

He smiled and leaned down and kissed me tenderly and even after 2 years I still love our kisses.

"What are you working on?" Ashton asked as he sat down next to me

We were at Boston College Library and I was working on a assessment

"Working on a teaching assessment" I replied

Ashton nodded and cleared his throat.

"Let's go out tonight" he said looking down at the floor like he was nervous.

I nodded and smiled.

We stayed in the library for another hour and then made our way back to the dorms.

"So what should I wear on our date?" I teased.

I expected Ashton to laugh or smirk but instead he rubbed the back of his neck and looked at the floor.

Why was he nervous?

"Um just wear something comfortable" he replied giving me a weak smile and leaving so I can get dressed.

Still confused I picked out some blue skinny jeans with a black top and grey jumper with a yellow scarf to wear.

I walked down the stairs to see Ashton sitting on the couch with his head in his hands and mutter some words to himself.

"I'm ready" I called out

Ashton's head whipped around toward me and smiled and physically relaxed.

He walked over and his hand stroked my cheek

"You look beautiful kitten" he said and I blushed at the comment

He didn't look so bad either. He wore some blue jeans and a black polo shirt that hung to his sexy muscles.

"Thank you" I replied

We walked toward the park that the college owned and when we got we got closer to the clearing, Ashton grabbed my hand and pulled he around to face him.

"Close your eyes" he whispered

I smiled and did what he asked and I felt Ashton pull me along until we finally stopped

"You can open them now"

I opened my eyes to only gasped at the scene before me.

Candle lights were spread out in the grass and white lights flickered in the trees and rose petals were covered on the picnic blanket.

Carved into the tree were words but I couldn't read it. I went closer until I finally saw what they said

"Turn around"

My eyes widened and I turned around to see Ashton in front of me with a smile and on one knee with a diamond ring in his hand.

I gasped and my hands flew to my mouth and happy tears polled my eyes.

This isn't happening.

Oh but it is.

"Kitten. I have loved you since the first time I met you in high school in the cafeteria. I will only ever be the person that will love you the way I do. You have only ever brought joy into my life and you make me smile and happy and I want that be forever. So kitten please. Will you marry me?"

I couldn't believe it. I mentally slapped myself to see if this was a dream but it wasn't. Ashton was on one knee. Asking me to marry him.

I only had one answer.

"Yes!"

Ashton smiled and placed the ring and it fit perfectly and I jumped into his arms and his arms wrapped around me and we both laughed before our lips found each other.

"I love you" I said

"I love you more kitten"

The knock on my door woke me up from my memory of Ashton.

I looked at the door to see Ashton coming into the room with a sad smile in his face.

"Hi kitten I've taken Bella to school are you ok?" He asked me looking at me concerned.

I smiled shyly and nodded and when I thought Ashton was going to to leave he instead closed the door and and went over to our bed.

"I'm sorry Kitten for being so distance. I really am" he said to me looking sincere with his apology

I was taken back. I mean I did expect him to apologise but I still wasn't ready for it right now.

"Why?" I whispered.

Why was he so distant and made me feel like dirt under his shoe?

"I'm sorry Kitten. I really am. I just... I've just had a really stressful week and I'm so sorry I took it out on you. I didn't mean to. You mean everything to me and I will always love you"

Ashton stoked my cheek and whipped away a tear that had unknowingly made its way down me cheek.

"It's ok" I whispered to him with a sad smile.

"It's not ok. I made you feel horrible and you don't deserve it. I really am sorry kitten" he said with tears in his eyes.

"It's ok Ashton really. Just from now on tell me what's bothering you" I replied

Ashton was quiet for a few moments before nodding his head but he still liked hesitant.

Why?

"I don't deserve you. Let me take you please. To make up" Ashton said

I smiled "When?"

Ashton smirked and I missed that smirk for way to long.

"Don't worry your pretty little head about it. You have work this week so on Friday I'll take you out to you favourite shop and I'll get you nice clothes" he said

"Your spoiling me" I laughed

Ashton smiled and leaned down and he lips pressed against mine that had all our worries placed a side.

"You deserved to be spoiled"
