Based on- Someone Like You- Adele

I apologize for the writinggggg and if it's out of characterrrr. First time writing angst, if you can even consider it that.

6 years. That's how long it's been. 6 very long years, in those 6 years she's been suffering, while he was enjoying them. But a question remained in both of their heads.

How is he?

How is she?

She wondered this everyday. Was he doing better without me? Did he miss me? Or am I the only one that's holding on? Ever since that day, she's never been the same, that cheerful person, was now gone. She missed him, she missed him a lot. She missed the way he smiled at her, those small gestures that made her feel loved, they were all gone. HE was gone.

She sluggishly got out of her bed and did her everyday routine. She pulled at her (H/C) haired locks with her brush.

"Arghhh, my hair is always so tangled! It's so annoying" (Y/N) said with a huff as she left her brush tangled up in her hair. Her hair, quite literally looked like a birds nest.

Craig looked over at her and stifled a laugh. "Here, let me help, you dork." He said as he moved closer to her. He grabbed her brush and very gently took it out. He slowly brushed her hair with care. He looked at her lovingly, he adored moments like this, as did she. She sat there, feeling the sensation of the brush go through her hair and his touch, as he finished brushing a side he'd press down on her hair in attempt to straighten her hair with his hand.

As he finished, he turned her head towards him and he smiled.

"There we go, much better" he said as he pecked her lips softly. Her cheeks were then dusted with pink as her mouth slowly curved into a smile.

"Thanks Craig" she said, her (E/C) eyes shined as she looked up at him. She leaned in for another quick kiss which he returned. She laid on his chest peacefully and listened to his heart beat, she found it really soothing and soon she fell asleep.

As she remembered this memory, deep sorrow struck her heart. She wanted to cry, but her eyes were dry. Those bittersweet memories never left her. Those memories always came to her, everywhere she went , everything she did, they just kept coming back. Even when she's doing something ordinary, like sitting down on the couch, memories of THEM sitting on the couch clouded her mind. She couldn't forget him, he was still fresh in her mind.

She finished doing her daily routine and walked downstairs. She grabbed her keys and money and departed from her house. The (H/C) haired girl walked to the supermarket, as she entered she immediately noticed Wendy. (Y/N) and the ravennette were friends, they helped each other often and would talk. They didn't have any grudges against each other but right now (Y/N) didn't feel up to talk to her, so she put up her hood and walked right past her, hoping she wouldn't get caught. As she walked by, she noticed that Wendy was on the phone with someone, it didn't bother her, in fact she was glad, that means she wouldn't be able to talk to her. She continued to walk by when she heard HIS name.

"Hey did you hear? Craig got married! Can you believe that?" Wendy said as she looked through the market.

Her whole world stopped. She stood still.

"what?" She said, barely above a whisper. She quickly hid between some groceries and listened intently.

"I know right?! Can't believe it was a year ago and he didn't tell us, I hear he lives in Park City, Utah" Wendy said.

A year, a year ago?! All this time he's been in a relationship while I've been suffering by myself all this time?!

Finally the tears spilt, she softly touched her face and looked at her fingers, they were glossy with fresh tears. She quickly sped out of there and went back home. She opened her door and collapsed on the floor sobbing loudly. All those memories, all those moments, they meant nothing to him, nothing anymore. Why can't I move on? why can't I!?!? Why am I stuck here suffering!?!?

Slowly, she tired her self out and fell asleep. The next morning she woke up, her eyes red and puffy. She stood up, her body ached. The (H/C) haired colored girl dragged her body upstairs and entered the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror, gosh she looked like a mess. Her hair all tangled up, her eyes red and puffy like she had an eye infection, below that she had giant eye bags, her mouth and cheek had a small line of drool from last night. She felt sorry for herself, she sighed deeply. What if I faced him? Would I be able to let him go? Her heart ached at that idea, but she planned to go through with it.

She packed a few things, she wasn't planning on staying there, at least just a day before she came back again. A trip to Utah would take a day and 6 hours to get there, she sure hoped that this would work and not leave her longing for him even more.

The day came and she got into her car and left. She had to stay at a few hotels and needed to refill the gas. She really hoped she wouldn't regret this. (Y/N) finally arrived at Park City, Utah. During the long car ride, she had texted Wendy asking her where Craig lived, Wendy answered her but was worried as to why she was asking, (Y/N) assured her not to worry, that it was only for closure. Wendy understood and asked no further questions and here she was, in front of the Tucker resident.

Her stomach churned and her breathing quickened. She slowly walked up to the door, her vision was getting a bit blurry. She knocked on the door and waited anxiously. The door creaked open and there he was, the love of her life. His eyes widened, clearly not expecting her. A lump formed in her throat.

"H-hey Craig.." she managed to croak out as she was fiddling with her clothes. Her voice, so soft and shaky.

"Uh hey (Y/N). What are you doing here?" He asked awkwardly.

"I just... I just.. uhm" that was all she could say, she couldn't bring herself to actually ask if he was married.

"I uhm" Her breathing was hitched, and he noticed, he looked at her with a heart rendering look.

"Uhm, I heard you're married..." she finally said, looking up at him anxiously.

"Uhm yeah I am" he said scratching his neck.

Her heart shattered.

"Oh uhm, c-congratulations..! I'm happy for you" she said, her voice cracking as she smiled sorrowfully.

"It doesn't look like you are" he said sadly.

Slowly her vision was clouded, and her tears got big enough that they dispersed out of her eyes. Craig looked at her with a soft, pitiful look.

"A-anyways I just came to check up on you" she said, her voice cracking even more.

"I'm glad to see you're doing so... w- w- weLL" she said, breaking down at 'well'. Craig pulled her in and started rubbing her back.

"I-I just wanted to g-get some c-closure, but I t-think I just made it w-worse"  she muffled into his chest

"It's okay, it won't happen too easily you know? I didn't realize you were suffering all this time" Craig said, in a soft sweet voice while still embracing her small, shaking figure.

She was glad to be back in his embrace, though she knew that she couldn't be with him, His soothing heartbeat still calmed her down.

"I g-guess, I'll just have to find s-someone like you, Craig" she said, chuckling a bit, she looked up at him. When her eyes met his, she sobbed louder, knowing she would never find a guy like him.

"I'm sorry, (Y/N). Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"

Well I hope I made you understand what (Y/N) was feeling if I didn't then I'll just have to improveeee. Hope you enjoyedddd. If you have any constructive criticism please don't hesitate to tell, I need the help :^
