That Look

I see the way you look at her

It's the same look I give you

Why can't you look at me like that

Am I not pretty enough?

Skinny enough for you?

Smart enough to be yours?

Funny enough for you to be mine?

What do I have to do to get you to look at me like that?

You keep on looking at her like I look at you

It breaks my heart when I look over and see you giving her that look

Do I have to be taller to be your girl?

Does my hair have to be like hers?

Do I have to be like her?

I try so hard to get you to notice me that it hurts

Why should I have to try so hard for your attention?

Oh that's right....

Because you drive me and my heart insane

Why can't you look at me like that?

Today you caught me staring and you smiled

You actually smiled and it made me smile back

But then you broke the connection we had

Then went back to giving her that look

Didn't you see the way I looked at you?

Didn't you get how badly I care for you?

Didn't you feel the connection I felt when you looked at me?

Time stopped for me but I guess not for you

But maybe that's why I catch you staring at me

Maybe you give me the look I give you and i'm just too blind to see

Maybe just maybe,you give that look to me
