              2 months later...

I awoke to the snuggly warmth of soft red fur and a tickle on the side of my beak. I peeked open my eye to stare over at my fuzzy nest warmer. His head was right next to mine his furry ears were peeking out from the half ball he was in. I blinked the sleepiness from my eyes. Those were the culprits that disturbed my sleep. I was having a great dream too! I was human and engaged to a sweet man, I was so happy. Not that I would ever want to be human. Blech. But the feeling was nice.

I slowly leaned over and tried to move the offending fluffy tips away. "Stop pullin me tufts Raven!" his big bushy tail flicked in agitation.

"I think they are even bigger than yesterday" Teasing him and tugging once more.

At that he rolled overexposing his white belly and pushed my beak away with his little clawed paw.

"Go Away." He grumbled. It was always fun to tease Chip in the mornings, it always made his Scottish accent sneak out.

I chortled and got up arranging my sleep rumpled feathers into their proper positions. Verifying their positions with the sparkling silver spoon in the corner of our den. I glanced around. It might be time to clean up a bit. Even though we had only been in here for a week it was a mess. Between Chip's nut collection and my shiny collection the room was getting tight. I glanced back at chips sleeping form. An evil excited feeling bubbled in my chest. Now would be the perfect time to modify his collection.

After a few hours of modifying and moving things around I Nudged chips side with my beak "Chip lets go."

He stretched and looked over at me. His warm hazel eyes blinking sleepily. "where?"

Walking to the edge of our den I glanced back at him. "I swear you would sleep all day if I let you. And to cause chaos of course."

He glanced around. "Thanks for cleaning but how are you awake." he said through a yawn. "We barely got sleep, took us until dawn to get back from the Scarborough tiger pack."

I laughed. "Villainy doesn't work on a schedule Chip. Besides it will be worth it. I cannot wait to see their faces when the next leaders' mate is chosen."

As he began climbing down the side of the tree housing our den he sighed. "Those two do seem to hate each other. It will definitely cause problems."

I followed him out. "I know it will be glorious."

The sunlight was beaming through the trees around us. Leaves were all changing colors painting the forest floor and hot springs in their colors. Glancing back at my lair I sighed happily. It had a view of the hot springs. Perfect for spying on all the dirty things people got into there. Making it the best spot to collect secrets and secluded enough to protect my wonderful horde of treasures. Plus, the huge oak tree housing our lair was amazing. With twisted moss-covered branches that reached out in all directions it gave off a creepy vibe that kept most town folk away. Except that weird vampire woman and her sexy werewolf friend. But still, it was as if it was made for a villain and I loved it.

I glided down to the crunchy leaves. Chip leaped from his branch and landed beside me. "So, what was the plan for today chip?"

"Ye wanted ta check out what was happening at the bed and breakfast, mess with vehicles coming into town, shake pollen over main street, and Tie together the shoelaces of everyone eatin outside." He glanced up at the waning sun. "But I don't think we have time."

"Awww, Why not? It sounds like a great way to spend the day."

A laugh grumbles out of him. "Don't give me those sad eyes, ya have a meeting remember?"
