Luke's POV
My next day at work was easily as nerve wrecking as the first.
I'm glad that Josh has been really nice to me, Liz as well, but I'm not sure about the other workers. I can't hope that they are as welcoming as the other two.
"Hey Luke? You okay? You look deep in though there buddy"
I had met Josh on my walk towards Ravenstown and we've been just talking about ourselves. I found out that his dad had also been a guard in Ravenstown and that Josh had been following in his footsteps. I didn't reveal very much about myself, only speaking when replying to whatever Josh had been saying or to give my opinion.
I'd ditched my plain t-shirt and grey formal trousers for my usual band tee and black skinny jeans. I had learned that there is no dress code to the workers arriving as there would be uniforms provided.
"Your kinda quiet aren't you?" Josh said, as we reached the gates.
"Not quiet just reserved" I said an it must have been the right response because Josh's face split into a wide smile.
"Yeah, you are. Well let's get going."
Michaels POV
For my first night back here, I surprisingly slept like a baby. I even woke up before breakfast time. So I just lay there and started thinking. I thought about the last 6 months. I thought about the trial and how everyone looked at me like I was crazy.
I thought about how Ashton would wake me in the morning by running his fingers along the length of my (diCK!) nose and rub his thumb across my cheeks. I thought about how I would pretend to be asleep just to let him touch me."It's time to get up Red-Head" I didn't even hear my cell door being opened. I looked up and saw Luke. However, he was dressed in his uniform this time and I had to bite my tongue not to laugh at how it looked on him. He was too tall for it and the shoulder area creased up because he was too broad. I'll have to admit, he's a good looking guy but looks ridiculous in the uniform.
"My names Michael, not red-head" I say raising an eyebrow.
"Let's go Red-head time to get up" I'm about to give him the finger but I remember how Liz had warned me about being good and I don't want to disappoint her. Again.
"Fine I'm coming"
Still in the worn down uniform from yesterday, I quickly slip on my shoes and groggily rise from my bed. I rub my eyes trying to get whatever sleep is left in my eyes while walking past Luke.
He doesn't even give me a warning before he pushes me against a wall as grabs my arms behind my back.
"What are you-"
He answers by clamping down handcuffs onto my wrists. He doesn't even have the decency to put my hands in front of me, where it's more comfortable. Instead, my arms are pulled back and twisted so that my hands are resting on the small of my back.
"How'd you even know how to work these things?" I huff at him.
He doesn't even look at me, just stares straight down the halls, holding me by the shoulder to guide me.
"My dad used to work in the army and I spent time working with him there" I stared at him incredulously.
"You? You look like you can't even rip bread apart" I snort. Although he's tall and broad, he also walks extremely feminine and shuffles on his feet when he's nervous.
He reacts by twisting my shoulder and the cuffs dig into my wrists. I do t say anything else until we get to the canteen.
Today's breakfast: an unidentifiable meat fried with buttered rock hard break, with a delicious treat of a scone probably past its due date. Yum.
