Luke's POV
Liz's office was exactly how I imagined it. There seemed to be every later known to man about mental health strung all around the room. I couldn't even recognize most of the words on them.
Her desk was piled high with stacks of papers and books and it seemed like she had her own collection of different pens. Behind her was a large set of drawers which probably contained even more documents and paper backs.
Although the room was packed full with different books and stationary, it had a welcoming feel with the bright light coming from the large window, the colorful furniture in the room and the many personal pictures whether they are framed on her desk or hanging on her wall. It was a colorful room itself.
However, although it was colorful, it still contrasted against a head of messy red hair. Not ginger hair, I mean a deep rich red colour. The colour of a rose. It was clearly died but I felt like it looked really soft and I wanted to run my fingers through it. The person still hadn't turned around though.
"Uh, hey. I'm Luke" I say. My voice cracks halfway through because I always get so nervous meeting new people.
Liz smiles at me and nods towards an open chair next to 'red head'.
"Don't worry I know exactly you who are" she says in a lively voice. I can feel the boy next to me stare right at me so I don't dare even look at him. I haven't even see his face, only the back of his head. He doesn't even try to make it discreet that he's staring at me.
I focus on sitting forward and looking intently at Liz. He had a tan face with wrinkles around her eyes and beside her mouth, but they almost make her look happy. Almost as if she's always smiling. She had blonde hair which was tide up into a bun. She had a feel about her that made her seem welcoming but intimidating as well.
"Now Luke, Hemmings is it?" I nod. "Well I would like to say that it's a pleasure to have you working with us. I would like you to formally meet Michael." 'Red head' was now sitting back into his seat as I could only see his legs in the corner of my eyes. He was wearing black skinny jeans from where I could see.
"That's me" he said. I finally turned around to him. It was not what I was expecting. Well it kind of was. It wasn't his eyebrow piercing that made me surprised. To be honest, I was expecting something like that when I saw his hair, but what I wasn't expecting was how young he looked. I thought he would have looked a lot more older. The other thing that shocked me was how normal he looked. How is this the person who has killed 14 people? Sure his hair and peircings could lead you to believe that he was a teenage delinquent, but he looked almost innocent.
He looks like a boy that was picked straight from a skate park, not a phsycotic serial killer. Is this the right person.
"You killed all those people" I asked incredulously.
"Yep" he says, as if answering a simple everyday question. He leans closer placing his hands on either side of my chair and turns it around to face him. "Every. Single. One. Of. Them." He snarls right into my face, grinning while he does.
"Michael!" He springs backwards, a smirk on his face. I turn to look at Liz and I don't realize that my fists are clenched until I see the whites of my knuckles.
"Michael, what did I literally just tell you! Don't you worry about him Luke, he's just trying to scare you. He did the same with Dave when he first started."
