Corrupted Humans

The knights arranged themselves in a rigid pattern, restricting access to the house on Mulberry street. As this happened, others on the street watched in confusion. The 3 new wizards of a young adult age approached the edge of the property.

Turn back now, or we shall engage in battle. Alen spoke, but the workers just stood there in confusion. One cautiously approached the wizards and rudely asked who they were. Law officers were already at the scene, and ordered to leave the property. Tension boiled, but the wizards knew better.

"THY SHALL NOT PASS." The wizards chanted as they struck their staffs onto the cement floor. This raised concern among the opposing sides, and soon after a stray bullet was fired, the battle began. Lightning struck one officer that brought up more open fire. With great aggression, the wizards were engaged in battle. They had deep belief and connection to magic, with every intent to stall the corrupted humans in order for a small group of elder wizards to prepare and cast their magic upon the lands. The paper knights soon engaged, moving accordingly and defensively from the front and back entrance while more officers arrived to scene. With each fireball and lightning strike, the opposing side gradually grew weaker. Each wizard had a task, one was to create shields of force protect themselves and fellow nights, the other 2 to engage in battle with the appropriate tactics.

A few paper soldiers fell in battle, but they were loyal and stood their ground with the wizards. A majority of corrupted humans had perished in the battle, the worse is yet to arrive. With the smoke clearing within a matter of moments, the final battle had begun. They just needed to hold a little longer for the spell to be casted. Shadowy figures soon surrounded them. The 3 wizards looked at each other in concern, but invested their trust and lifeline for the sake of pure magic.

Dark and light magic collided in catastrophic manners. Some nearby buildings collapsed as a result and roads reduced to ruble, but the paper kingdom still remained in the presence of evil. They couldn't see the enemy, but they could sense built up negativity from such eternal darkness that surrounded their kingdom. Although the wizards were becoming weary of battle, they pushed onward with the final spell. Edgar struck his staff into the rubble and casted an intense lightning spell. 5 elder wizards arrived and joined, the lightning became a strong beacon of illumination. With proper positions, they all struck their staffs onto the ground surface. The final spell was casted in those moments. A blinding white illumination vaporized the shadows with intense screeches of pain.

Darkness ceased to exist as the white light consumed everything. The transition was complete, they had moved the paper kingdom into a safer format of reality. No longer shall those drenched in evil ruin our lands of pure magic.

The 3 wizards, along with the elders, walked back to the kingdom. Their lands were free to expand, and the skies began to spread into the white space with a new purpose. No longer were they confined within the attic, no longer did they need an overlord.

The corrupted humans of a higher level stood in their council hall with heavy disappointment to city officers. They wanted magic to be eliminated alike the rest of their lands. But the officers had failed to contain the last fragment of magic. The lead council member gazed into the horizon with intention to find that kingdom. These shadows hungered greedily for control.

Where that house once stood, a dull park had replaced the property in concern that the former magic would ruin anyone who would live there. The park stood empty and occasionally some people would visit. By the 2000s, a few visitors witnessed mysterious locked doors in the open fields. Some days these doors would appear, then gone the next day. No one was brave enough to understood why.

Eventually a few destined individuals in London received special letters of invitation to the Paper Kingdom. A golden key was included, but they were warned of a curse. That was if they were to use their keys with evil intentions.

A curse created in the principals for balancing good and evil.
