"Ive already made up my mind
And yes I know what love is
'Cause we are two old souls,
With two young hearts
We can run, I will follow you to the end of the earth
Where we can see forever,
They can never tear us apart
Two old souls,
With two young hearts"

"I'm telling you, we should have never left him alone in a foreign country."

"It's okay, he'll be alright."

"Taehyung? Taehyungie?" Jungkook mumbled softly, stirring from his once-peaceful slumber and waking up to a cold reality.

Taehyung wasn't there.

He left. Again.

"Kook, he's not here" Jimin scrunched his eyebrows as Hobi leaned next to his friend laying in a hospital bed.

Jungkook looked around the room and sighed, he remembered everything.

Taehyung sneaked into the hospital at night to visit him before leaving the country.

"So much for a new start huh?" He chucked softly, bitterness and regret lacing every shaky vowel.

Oh and. . . He wanted to cry. Cry because Taehyung isn't there anymore when it felt like he was just there a second ago. In fact, he left a day ago and Jungkook never noticed because he was wounded and asleep.

But how can he cry when his friends standing next to him are worried as hell.

Even if he could feel Taehyung's soft touches, his fingers caressing his raven locks, his voice so deep and soothing. He went to sleep with the voice of Taehyung saying pretty words to him, the mesmerizing phrases that the older used to tell him when they were together.

And he reminisced the past, because the present was too hurtful to live in so he just stayed behind and relieved every memory he had with Taehyung over and over again.

When they first kissed, when they first made love, when they danced, when they met, when they first held hands, when they first talked to eachother. So many firsts and only one last.

To relieve Taehyung's soft touches, imagine that boxy and youthful smile of his, the crescent moon eyes that sparkled only for the younger, the lively laughs, the jokes, the non-stopping teasing, or the stupid cheesy lines he used to tell him.

Their time together was so short lived it almost seemed unreal. A fragment of Jungkook's imagination because he was lonely.

And that feeling never left him.

The loneliness and uncertainty.

Yet he did see Taehyung. He was there and he kissed his bloody hands and stayed in the hospital till he fell asleep. It had to be real.

"I didn't get to say goodbye to him... again" Jungkook mumbled softly and sat up while looking down.

That's the worst part of it all, not being able to say goodbye to your loved one once they leave. You never know when it's gonna happen, but the pain is agonizing. He should've known, it happened before and it happened again in Medellin.

Their last time together was not meaningful; worthless.

Jungkook regretted not saying goodbye or kissing him one last time when they got separated a year ago, it ate him up slowly. . . But having the same thing happen to him again with the same person? He felt broken.
