It was August and that meant the twins' seventeenth birthday was very soon.
A month before their birthday Chris texted his friends to meet up urgently.
"Hey man, what is it?" Jeremy Renner asked when they were all there.
"The twins seventeenth is next month, I want to do something special for them because they have never done anything in the past."
"Not even at the orphanage?" Robert asked.
"No, I think they were in the Mental health hospital place for both of their birthdays."
"Those poor kids!" Scarlett exclaimed.
"Exactly, we need to do something big but I also don't want them to feel overwhelmed."
"Why not just have the day with them and then for dinner invite a couple of people round, not that many but some they feel comfortable with." Mark Ruffalo suggested.
"That's a good idea Mark, how about for dinner it is us six and the two boys. Hang on, shouldn't there be kids their age?"
"You could invite their friends from England, weren't they in a band there?"
"You're right! I'll call them now and sort it out. Thank you guys, see you soon."
Chris left and called Mary, the owner of the orphanage.
"Hello Chris, how are you? How are the boys?"
"Good thanks, the boys are amazing. It is their birthday next month and I thought that maybe we could get their bandmates to come over and spend some time with them. Would that be possible?"
"That is an incredible idea! I'll talk to the boys about it if you are okay with sorting out flights?"
"Okay, what about they arrive on the twins' birthday and leave two weeks later?"
"Perfect, okay I will text you once I've spoken to the boys."
"Thank you so much Mary."
"That's quite alright Chris."
"Goodbye."
"Bye." Chris hung up and headed back to his house.

A month later the twins woke up to a knock on their bedroom door.
Alistair grumbled and rolled over while Adrian pulled a pillow over his face. The door opened and Chris walked in balancing a couple of trays on his arms, Dodger brushed past him and jumped onto Alistair's bed.
"Happy birthday boys. I made you breakfast." The boys immediately sat up and Chris laughed. "I made pancakes and waffles and bacon. Here." He paswed the trays to the groggy boys and sat down on a chair with his own food.
"Th-thanks Dad." He looked up at the mix of emotions in the boy's voice.
"Are you okay Al?" He asked, concerned.
"Yeah, I just forgot it was our birthday."
His brother finally spoke. "We haven't really celebrated before, it is just like any other day." He trailed off.
"I know, and I'm sorry that you had to go through that." Chris spoke softly. "But I want to change that and celebrate your birthdays from now on, okay?"
The boys got up and hugged Chris. "Thank you Dad." They said in unison. They thwn sat down and enjoyed breakfast.
After that they went downstairs and there were loads of presents on the table. The twins' jaws dropped open.
They spent an emotional hour opening presents and repeatedly thanking their father. At the end the doorbell rang.
Chris nodded at the boys. "Go get it, it is another present." They ran and opened the door to see their best friends from England standing there.
"Cass! Nicky!" The four boys embraced and all started talking and catching up.
The rest of the day passed relatively quickly.
That evening they had dinner with their friends and the original six avengers.
They then went to their room with their friends and chatted before going to sleep.
