Our last date in the UK happened to be on Halloween, meaning we were all getting dressed up in funny costumes.

Luckily Taylor was on break from her tour till mid November, so I could have my girls at the concert and see Livy in her costume. Since she is still pretty little we decided she didn't need to go trick or treating this year....but we still all got dressed up, it's obviously the best part.

Since we were in the UK, Taylor had taken Livy to visit my family and some of her friends while we rehearsed. The concert tonight was in Manchester so my mum was going to be there too.

We hadn't told our families about the pregnancy yet, and obviously haven't told our fans. Luckily Taylor was quite slim so despite being 15 weeks pregnant you could barely tell, unless you actually knew and made a point to look. She said she had a great way to tell them, and it had to do with Halloween which should be cute.

I had been thinking about how to tell our families and close friends about the baby and came up with a cute idea that could be done on Halloween. Luckily I wasn't really showing yet so we could put it off till now.

Harry and the boys were dressing up for their Halloween show, so Livy and I were going to too. Harry was going as a scarecrow, Livy was a ladybug (because she wanted wings), and I was a cat. The rest of the band went for superheroes, zombies, and animals.

I had been to visit Harry's family earlier in the day but didn't mention anything baby wise, and was very careful in terms of what I wore and how I held myself so I didn't give it away. It was really hard to keep it a secret. The only people I could talk to were my mom and Harry.

My plan started after the concert, when we were back at the hotel.

The first stage was to paint my stomach orange with vertical stripes, a face, and greenery, making it look like a pumpkin. Then we took a picture of it, just the pumpkin stomach.

The second stage was to tell Livy about it, because she had become very chatty and would be more than willing to tell people. She didn't really understand why it was going to take so long but was obviously very happy, claiming it was 'her baby' for the rest of the night, and obviously excited to tell everyone she knew. She also started kissing my stomach which was funny since I still had orange paint on it so she got her face covered in orange.

The final stage was to send the picture to family and friends. We made it look like a Polaroid and wrote April 2016 on the bottom of the frame. We were going to send it by email first thing in the morning, since everyone was so spread out, to my parents, Harry's parents, Austin, and Gemma. Once we had our doctor's appointment next week we'd post them each a sonogram picture.

Hopefully everyone would understand.....it was pretty obvious.

Taylor's idea was genius. It took into account the cuteness of our family (yes I'm biased) and her love of Polaroids, as well as Halloween which was my favourite holiday.

The next day we sent the photos out then were all heading back to America. The band was doing some recording in LA and Taylor had meetings about the rest of her tour, so she had offered her plane for the trip which meant that we were now in a confined space with Livy, who was luckily napping for now, and all the boys. I knew chaos would ensue when Livy woke up....

"Daddy, where are we?" She said rubbing her eyes.

"On the plane buddy. We are going back to LA." I reply, sitting her up on my lap.

"We see Meredith?" She asks

"Yeah Liv, Meredith is at Jaime's house so we will pick her up tomorrow." Taylor says, leaning on my shoulder almost asleep.

Just then Livy notices the boys all sitting on chairs facing the big TV, looking away from us, and scrambles off my lap. She hasn't seen them since the concert the previous night.

"Uncle Lou! Guess what?!" Livy says pouncing on him.

"What ladybug?" He replies, smiling at her.

"I'm getting a baby." Livy says proudly

Taylor's eyes flicker open and I just smirk at the boys, who couldn't see me.

"Like a doll?" Niall asks

"Noooooo.... But it won't be here for a long time." Livy says pouting.

I realized then why Taylor insisted we wait to tell Livy until we wanted the world to know, she is a little chatterbox!

Liam looks over at us and smiles, understanding what she's saying.

"So where is the baby now Livy?" Liam asks smiling at the other boys slow processing.

"In mommy's tummy, duh!" Lucy says looking exasperated and climbing on the sofa with us again. She is a very sassy 2 year old.

The boys' faces drop, they look over at us then all look down at Taylor belly. Taylor just smiles.

"Seriously? You're having another little monster? How come we didn't know?" Louis asks, grinning wildly.

"Well we kept it a secret until now.... Just in case anything went wrong." I said "But you guys can't tell anyone OK? My mum will only find out in the next couple of days."

"Our lips are sealed, right lads?" Niall says and they all nod.

"Wait, is that why you were sick when it was Livy's party?" Zayn asks, putting the pieces together.

"Yup. And luckily I'm a pro at hiding stuff from people" Taylor says gesturing towards Livy, "So until last night, only my mom and Harry knew."

All the boys congratulated us, and Livy became jealous but luckily we gave her some Halloween chocolate and she was happy for the rest of the journey.

"So, how are you going to tell Selena and everyone?" Harry asks.

"I have a plan. And it doesn't involve you sorry." I tell him making him pout playfully. "We are going to have a girls day at the house next week and I'm going to put Livy in a 'big sister' T-shirt. We'll see how long it takes them to figure it out..."

"That's adorable!" Harry replies, leaning towards me. When he's about to kiss me a little hand flies up between us.

"No kisses!" Livy says making us laugh as she pouts, just like her dad.
