Lucy in St. Lucas

Prologue

A loud noise of slap coming from a father got the whole room silence. They are five persons in that room, in her father's office room.

"How dare you to do that to your sister and you even dragged her friends?!" Lucy's dad shouted. The young woman just remained silent. She didn't even react when her father slap her maybe because she already expect that.

"Secretary Lim, book a flight of one tonight in the Philippines." Her father said to his secretary standing next to her.

It's better to be in pain there kaysa naman dito kasama ang dalawang bruha na mas lalong nagpasira ng buhay niya. Akala nya noon sira sirang na pero mas lumala ng nakapangasawa ulit ang ama niya .

Her Stepmother who is comforting her lovable step-sister earlier stand up. "Love, are you sure about it? You know that she doesn't want to go back there anymore." She tsked. Her Stepmother said with a fake-concerned voice. Nagpapatawa ba sya? Eh halos itulak na nga siya nito  palabas ng mansion.

"Kailangan niya matuto at maging responsable. She almost got her sister and their friends killed because of her stupidity and immature acts." She wanna smirked but she is too tired and sleepy for that.

But she did smirked secretly when her lovely step-sister cry again. Napaka-kapal talaga ng mukha! Santi-santita ang walang-hiya.

"Dad, it's fine. Me and my friends are already okay no need to bring ate back to Philippines, surely she will be sad there po." Her so called step sister sobs and act vulnerably while begging to her father to make her stay. Nakakasuka, ito ang nararmdaman niya mula sa sinabi nito.

She is so done. She can't take it anymore. She managed to get her phone and car key and left to that freaking room. She still heard her father shouting at her about how disrespectful and irresponsible she is, but she care the less what she all want is to rest.

As she entered her room she throw herself to her big and soft bed, her comfort zone. And as time passes she unconsciously got sleep.

"Lucy pupunta ka mamaya, right?" one of her friend, Vanessa asked her. She just shrugged. The girl didn't stop there until their last class she still inviting her.

"Punta ka na lucybabe!! Birthday ko naman eh, please." Vanessa pleased to her. She just nod to her friend.

She actually planned not to go because of her bitch sister.

Lucy got to the venue an hour lately. Her friends was shocked that she even come because she usually hate crowded places.

That night also she got involved with car race that lead her and her friends into an accident. If just her freakin step-sister did not do a commotion inside the car she would not be in the airport right now going back in the most painful country she never wish to be back.

"Ma'am, your ticket please." saad ng flight attendant. Binigay nya ito at umupo sa kanyang pwesto. 

When the airplane got aboard doon lang nya napansin ang katabi nya. It was sleeping peacefully in her shoulder. Nais niya ito tanggalin pero hindi niya magawa. Hindi rin naman niya makita ang mukha ng lalaki dahil nakataklob ito gamit ang isang kumot na tila ba lamig na lamig.

She looked at the other side and saw the window. Pinagmasdan niya ang mga ulap at nakaramdam ng kaba at takot. Kaba at takot na babalik siya sa lugar kung saan niya naranasan ang sobrang kalungkutan at paghihinagpis.

At the age 19 and as she looked at the sun setting down through the window while there is a guy sleeping in her shoulder she silently wish that as she comes back everything will be just alright.
