Nadia’s life was perfect. She was happily in love with Carter. Together they ruled their high school. But when senior year comes to an end, Carter decides that he wants to fulfill his duty to his country and become a marine. One week after his departure to Iraq, Nadia finds out that she is pregnant.
Before Nadia is able to share the news with anyone, she finds out that Carter and 49 other people were hit with a bomb. She is told that no one survived.
Nadia tells the news of her pregnancy to her and Carter’s family. After being shunned by her own family, Carter’s parents let her live in their home. Greyson, Carter’s brother, takes a liking to Nadia. They begin to get intimate, and Greyson pledges to be a father to Nadia’s child.
But complications soon arise, and Nadia becomes torn between two men.
