(I apologize for the long wait)
Warmth covered your body like a hug, just wrapped in utter warmth of it. Your bones didn't feel bitten with frostbite. Your vision was hazy and your body hurt..mostly your legs.
Were.. Were you still in the pool? The warmth around you swished as a hand ran down your arm, lifting it with their chilly hands.
"You sure are the troublesome woman aren't you?" Master Fear's voice snapped you out of your dazed state.
The room around you was lined with white tiles, a small shelf held various soaps, bath bombs and washcloths.
Sitting up slightly, you realized you were laying in a bathtub, only in your bra and underwear, you quickly moved to cover your chest, which only made your groan from the fresh wounds.
Fear rolled his many eyes, stirring the tea in his small blue gold lined cup in his hands. "You need to relax, you'll just open your wounds again."
"W-what happened?" You ask him, still hiding your chest. Your arms were wrapped in purple bandages, the stronger ones were wrapped around your cut shoulders.
Your legs and thighs had small hole wounds in them, they soaked in the warm water surrounding you.
"Well, first off you thought it would be an amazing idea to leave the house at night and go for a swim. We have a rule for that, why do you think it was sealed off?" He asks you, lifting a brow, keeping eye contact.
"What was that thing!?" A shiver goes down your spine at the thought of it. Its grin burned in the back of your mind.
"Our mother was very fond of each of her creations.." He starts, turning to the counter to grab a sketch book?
"No matter how dangerous, she would always love them. She tried her hardest to keep everyone happy, give each of them a place to stay while her money was limited."
He flips through a few of the pages until it lands on a colorless page, he turns it to you.
"This is what you encountered last night. He is a siren, he is not to be trusted do not go near him again or it won't be as simple as Lockheart diving in after your foolish self." He narrows his eyes at you.
On the page was a sketch of a large skeleton monster lined with fins and spikes, the same ones that pierced your legs. Its tail long and girthy with toxic barbs, it wore a stolen crown with a coat.
"Why is it in the pool if he's so dangerous?" You ask him, your blood running cold after looking at the drawing.
He shuts the book and holds it to his chest. "Our mother was a very kind woman, she didn't want him far from her. He was her newest creation, she wanted him around for her sake."
The short skeleton sighs. "Just.. Sit still please and let the antivenin do its work. I shall return." He stands and takes the book with him out into the hall.
You leaned back into the water once again, looking at your hands. Only a cut or two was on your fingers, but it seemed only your legs got to worse from the sirens attack.
What exactly happened to their mother? Did she pass away? Or did someone run off with her? The statue in the garden was eerily life-like.. Just like the ones in the front yard.
That got you thinking.. What exactly were your masters hiding? The statues in the front yard were all beautiful young women, had.. Master Coby froze them?
You remember the warning about his gaze it could petrify anyone who looked deep into his eyes. Had the women before you been struck with bad luck? Or were they just statues?
Perhaps you were thinking too much.
The door had opened once again, making you snap back into reality once again. Master Fear took his seat back on the side of the tub next to you.
"I have returned with your clothing and a few towels for when you want to get out of the bathtub." He sets the towels and extra clothes onto the toilet.
"Master Fear.. Why am I just in my bra and underwear?" You ask shyly, adverting your eyes.
"Oh please, don't flatter yourself. I only stripped you down to your undergarments to addend to your wounds, the human anatomy isn't that special. I've seen it many times in books over the years, you're no different." He says with a roll of his lavender eyes.
"How do I know you didn't try anything?" You ask with a frown. A little hurt at his comment.
"Do not accuse me of something so barbaric. I am not fazed by breasts, once more, don't flatter yourself." He sighs. "Get dried off, won't you?"
The widow pinches the bridge of his nose, grabs his tea cup then leaves the bathroom again.
Once finally in the comfort of your own bedroom and in some comfy night clothes, you relaxed on your bed.
A knock caught your attention, making you set your phone down onto the side table. "Come in!"
Your door opened, but you didn't expect to see Master Lockheart with a worried look in his ruby eye lights. He shut the door behind him and slowly made his way over to you.
He tosses a small plastic bag in your lap. "Here, Cupid wanted me to give this to ya." He takes a seat at the end of your bed.
In the small bag was a single heart shaped sugar cookie, covering in pink icing and bandaid themed sprinkles. 'Get well soon' was written in frosting.
"Are you alright? You know you scared the shit out of me.." He asks, facing the wall away from you, arms crossed in his lap.
You carefully move your way to sit next to him. "I'm only a bit banged up, with some bandages, but I'll be fine. Thank you." You give him a hug with your injured arms, gently.
His cheeks flush a rosy red as his body stiffens. "Yeah, yeah whatever. Without you our house would look like shit." His face is stern, but his eyes say otherwise.
You let out a small laugh and rest your head in the crook of his neck and shoulder, hugging him from behind now.
His tail slowly wrapped around your waist.
"Where did your wings go?" You ask him.
His skull perks up and he let's out a chuckle. "Pfft. I think you're still under affect of the meds, Angel, I don't have wings."
"But! I swore you had them?"
He lifts his legs and turns to face you. "And I swear all the time Angel cakes." He pokes your nose, making you giggle.
You quickly hug him again, your arms wrapping around his sharp shoulder blades. Your head on his chest, for a skeleton he was extremely warm and smelled sweetly of burnt leaves and cherries.
"Don't f*cking go by the pool again or I'm personally throwing you off the roof." He says, a grin on his face.
"I won't." You smile, pulling back go see his cheeky grin, a smile looked good on him, better than his usual scowl.
He sits there silently for a moment. His eyes glance down at your lips then your eyes. "Y/n, I understand if you want to quit and leave this shithole.. All its done is gotten you hurt."
Your smile falls, seeing the hurt in his eyes. "Master Lockheart i-"
Your cheeks flush as his teeth gently press against your lips. His warm hands cupping your cheeks, moving the hair out of the way.
It only lasted a few seconds before he pulls away, letting you sit there in shock with scarlet cheeks.
He pulls himself away from you, standing once again with his hands in his pockets. "Just.. When you do, don't forget us.. Okay? Because.. We really care about you, angel."
Before you could call out to him, he had already walked out of you room and shut the door behind him.
The clicking of his heels faded down the hall as you softly touch your lips, where his spicy taste still lingered.
