After meeting Jasper, the house seemed far less colder than it was. Was he okay?
You knew he was still around since he checks on you sometimes, but why was he less cold? You had no idea.
The doorbell had rang you out of your thoughts, you pat the dust off your skirt and walked up to the door, unlocking and opening it.
Only to be face to chest with the tallest thing you've ever seen, besides buildings.
Right.. Jasper did day that a couple of guests were going to arrive sometime today. This may be them.
The tall one was dressed in black and teal, silver faceplates look like they just got shined. He simply looked down you with the same judgemental stare Fear always gave you.
"Hello, Master Cupid was expecting you. Please come in." You bow and open the door wider for them.
He didn't reply as he walked passed you with his arms crossed, he clicked his heel on the wood floor impatiently.
The short one although taller than Fear, got your attention. He was the cutest thing, you wanted to squeal from how cute he was.
You couldn't see him over the massive skyscraper of the metallic skeleton from earlier. He wore a black and yellow striped sweater, dark purple pants and matching gold lined boots.
Pale blue wings stuck out of his back, a tiny crown on his skull, and two antennas came out of his forehead. He smiled at you with his dull fangs.
"Ooh! You're the maid they hired? You're pretty!" He smiled and shook your hand almost out of socket.
You shyly smiled back at the fluffy smol. "Yes, I'm y/n."
He grins with a gold blush. "I'm Mari Gold. This is Cyrus, he doesn't talk much!"
Cyrus simply stares down at Mari almost like a protective brother way? "Mari, go find Cupid and tell him that we're here. "
"Right! Be right back pretty maid lady!" Mari smiles a closed eye smile before unfolding his wings and buzzing off.
You didn't know why, but you felt intimidated under Cyrus' gaze. Was he plotting? Why was he looking at you like that? Was there something on your face?
His eyes changed from teal to black then a flash as he looked you up and down.
"Name: Y/n L/n. Gender: Female. Species: Human. Occupation: Maid service. Threat: N/A. Soul: S/t ss/t." He nodded and looked away from you.
(S/t- soul trait. Ss/t- second soul trait)
"Did you just scan me?" You ask with a huff, he basically just took a picture of you without your permission.
"Of course I did. I needed to know if you were a threat or not. But you are not. Just a weak human hired under much more stronger monsters." He watches the stairs, waiting for Mari's return.
You wanted to snap at him, but you knew better not to. If he was going to be one of your masters, you couldn't raise your voice at him.
After about three minuets of awkward silence, Mari came down the stairs dragging Cupid by the arm.
"Got him!" Mari giggles, landing next to you, he was only to your stomach in height.
You badly wanted to pet the massive amount of fluff around his neck. It looked so soft.. It probably smelled good too.
"Y/n, can you take their bags to their rooms please?" Cupid asks, snapping you out of your thoughts.
"Oh, yes. Of course. But if I may ask, how long are they going to stay?" You ask. You wouldn't mind having Mari here, but Cyrus was being a total a** to you.
"About a week!" Mari answers with a smile. "Isn't that great!"
You smile back at him. "Yes it is." But you send a glare to the taller one as you left carrying their bags.
Mari owned a lot of sweaters, so many that his suitcase busted open.
You just set it on his bed of the guest room you didn't know they even had, how is it you haven't seen this room before?
"Honey! Come here please!" Mari yells from the hallway. Honey? Was he talking to you?
He suddenly appeared in the doorway and grinned when he saw you. "I mean you miss y/n! Come with me, I wanna show you something!"
Your cheeks glow, he was so cute.. You wanted to protect this smol. You took his hand and prepared to be dragged.
He took you out into the garden, he had this cute little skip in his step. The sleeves of his sweater were far too long, covering his tiny hands.
Finally, you both were sat in the middle of the apple trees Cupid had planted, on a small blanket that was checkered.
"I wanted to say I'm sorry if Cyrus was mean to you. He doesn't really like humans.. Since his accident." Mari sits across from you with his legs crossed.
You take a f/s sandwich from the basket. "Accident?"
"He's a cyborg. Being put back together while you're slowly dying isn't exactly fun at all." Mari looks down to the side.
You put your hand on his shoulder. "Hey, he's okay now isn't he?"
Mari's purple eyes meet yours, it hurt your soul to see him sad. "Yeah, I guess so. But I still worry about him, we're actually here because he needed some repairs. Since momma is gone, Cousin Fear is the only one who can fix him."
"Fear is your cousin?" You ask, trying to change the subject to see his smile again.
Mari suddenly beams with a tiny blush. "Yeah, we're not that close though. I think he hates me since I'm a insect." He shrugs. "But Fear always has been a bit of a buttface."
You snort, almost choking on your sandwich.
"Are you okay?" He asks, tilting his head, making his antennas go to the side.
You wipe your fave with a chuckle. "Yeah, I'm sorry I just wasn't expecting that."
He smiles and jumps to his feet. "Excuse me, I'll be right back!" He disappears again, but you could hear the buzzing of his wings close by.
Looking to the right you saw the path to their mother's statue, what exactly happened to her? She seemed to be crying, but she was smiling painfully.
Maybe Jasper can help clear the air?
"Honey, I'm back!" Mari giggled holding two flower crowns, one of f/c flowers and one of many colors.
He set the f/c one on your head, then put the other one around his antennas.
"Wow, thanks Mari." You smile, ignoring your depressing thoughts.
"No problem honey! I make these for the others all the time!" He grins, taking a seat across from you, tilting his head cutely.
You could get used to him being around. You're going to be very sad when he has to leave.
Now Cyrus?
He can leave for all you care, you just wanted to keep the floof safe.
