Weird almost. For Jimin it's just another Sunday spent at church. It's always been the same ever since he can remember. Usually church allows him to feel reverence. As a kid he was always amazed by the feeling of inner peace that washed over him as soon as he entered the building. Till this day it was a place of joy and ease for the boy. A comfort of the known.
Uneasiness, angst almost is what Jimin felt upon taking a seat on the front pew next to his mother, who was chatting away with her friends, completely oblivious to the weird atmosphere that caused him utter discomfort. Unable to focus on her monotonous, boring conversations, he looks around the church, seeing all the Christians awaiting another one of his fathers sermons after another endless, tiring week.
His irises flit trough the aisles, scanning trough the all too well known families. Familiar faces. He knows them. Everything is like every other Sunday. Nobody seems to feel anxious the way he does, or they are just too good at hiding it.
His brows crinkled as his gaze settled on a family. He never saw them here before. They must be new in town, which is eerie, nobody ever moves here. Suddenly he feels a pair of dark hooded eyes burn holes into his skin, feels as if he is boring through his soul, with an intense gaze. Jimin's breath hitched in his throat when he made eye contact with the stranger.
'Who are u ?'he swallowed awkwardly. Brushing his fringe aside, he starts to shamelessly stare at the other male, an action, which his parents taught him to avoid. 'Staring is rude son' his father always used to voice. Yet he couldn't help himself, slowly examining every feature, ignoring his rapidly beating heart.
Ebony fringe falling over the males hooded, almost cat like black orbs, that were staring right back at him. His pale skin highlighting his rosy cheeks and lips, ever so tenderly, it gave Jimin the chills. He had a round face but somehow a very defined jawline. His ears were decorated with a bunch of silver dangling earrings, of which his father used to say 'Only women can wear earrings' in a matter of fact tone.
Upon further inspection of the boys plush, round lips, the corners slowly began to tug upwards, smirking in a mocking manner, subtly teasing him for staring.
Realizing his mistake, Jimin is quick to make an effort and turn back around, finally paying attention to his fathers words. Taking a deep breath, as a lousy attempt to ease his tense shoulders, trying to push the thoughts of the newcomer out of his head and focus. No girl ever occupied his mind, as much as this boy did, in a matter of seconds.
Who was he, to let another man of all things entertain his mind? He needed to focus on the ceremony. That wasn't the only reason he forced thoughts of a male out of his head, but he would never actually admit that. The most depressing thing about the whole situation was that if it wasn't for his mother's hand, now placed around his shoulders, securing him in a tight grip, he wouldn't have been able to stop himself from stealing another glance at the unknown, mysterious boy.
Mrs Park must have noticed the absent-mindedness of his son, wordlessly warning him to quit it.
Jimin knew all too well what the consequences of sinning were. Being the pastor's son, he probably knew it the best out of all people. Aware, that as much as being interested in someone of the same sex, was worse, then elicit thoughts of a women's body, he willed himself to listen to his father, yet he couldn't help but wonder:
Why does it feel like the beginning of a Temptation?
