Chapter 12: Split Up (Pt 3)

A/n: This is the second to last chapter of this little arc. Hope you enjoy.

3rd Person Pov.

Itsuki woke up from her bed and looked around the room. It's been 3 days since the incident with Fuutarou and their step dad. Each morning and all the other hours of the day are tense and awkward between the quints and their step dad. Miku, Itsuki, and Nino won't even talk to Maruo because of what he did. Yotsuba and Ichika talked to him but just a little bit. Just enough to know how they're doing. The days would be very slow and quiet without anyone talking.
Itsuki got out of her bed and but on a hoodie. It was Fuutarou's. None of the quints ever washed the hoodie to make sure his scent would never go away. They also wore their different hoodies 24/7 around the house. As Itsuki slipped the hoodie on over her, she smelled the scent of Fuutarou and she started to become sad. Sad because Fuutarou wasn't there anymore.
She made her way to her door and twisted the knob to let the sunlight in her room. As she stepped out, she looked at the window letting in the sunlight with a sad look. Itsuki stared out this window for a bit until she was broken from her trance once Mike opened her door. She turned around and looked over to her older sister. She too had a sad and gloomy expressions on her face. She was also wearing Fuutarou's hoodie. Miku stepped out of her room and greeted Itsuki.

"Ohaiyu." Mike said gloomily.

"Ohaiyu." Itsuki replied back, also with a gloomy tone.

The two made their way to the stairs where they both went down together. As they were walking down, they could smell the breakfast and they could see a pink haired girl cooking breakfast. Itsuki and Miku got off the steps and made their way over to Nino who was cooking something. Itsuki noticed she was still wearing Fuutarou's hoodie.

"Ohaiyu." Miku and Itsuki greeted their sister.

She didn't reply. The two sisters knew how she was feeling so they just left her alone to complete the breakfast. Miku and Itsuki sat down on the couch and slumped there. Both of them laid there and just stared at the tv that was currently turned off. There was nothing to talk about since the quints isolated themselves from anything in the outside world. Also they had their phones taken away so that was another factor. As the two were laying there, they heard some footsteps coming down the stairs. They didn't bother to turn around to see and they didn't care at all. Once the footsteps reached the bottom of the stairs, the steps quickly made its way over to the couch.

"Ohaiyu." Yotsuba said, in a monotone voice. She also took a seat at a chair next to the couch.

"Ohaiyu." Itsuki and Miku replied.

The three of them sat there and were listening to Nino cook the breakfast of the day.

After some more minutes of waiting, the breakfast was finally done. Nino grabbed a plate for herself and put some food on it. She then made her way up to her room and shut the door. Yotsuba, Miku, and Itsuki were the only ones left and they two got plates for themselves. They got their own servings and then went back up to their respective rooms. The quints all ate quietly in each of their rooms while thinking about Fuutarou. (Ichika later got food after waking up late.)

Some time passed since their breakfast and they were all getting hungry. 4 of the quints met up in the living roof and sat there. They were given information that their step dad would be coming home late and that they would have to make their own dinner. Itsuki decided to go upstairs and get Nino so she could cook for all of them. As she made her way up the stairs, she could hear some faint sobbing coming from Nino's room. She made her way over and knocked on the door. After no response she turned the knob and pushed the door open.
As the door opened, she could see her sisters curled up in a ball, crying her eyes out. Itsuki quickly made her way over to her.
