My personal opinion/tiny rant

"You talk too white." Says my black friends. "You talk too black." Says my white friends. Everywhere I turn and go it feels like accusations of who I am or how I am are being shoved into my face. It's like I can't be enough for either group, but why does it matter how I talk? How do you even talk like a color? I guess it's the stereotype.

Now that I think about it, it makes me laugh because the stereotype of how a white person talks compared to a black person is just a racist input on who you think sounds more proper. Now when I accuse you of being racist I'm wrong????  Think about it....if you tell someone that they speak too white you are inferring that I speak to proper or that the way I talk is like that typical Starbucks girl and implying that's it's strange for me to talk that way because I'm black.  BUT if you are white and you say I sound too black you are implying that I am too loud or that I am "ghetto" because of the slang terms that I use. But you want to know something crazy...people will be like "ooo if i'm black and I say your too light or dark that's not me being racist because I'm black too."LIKE WHATTTTT!!! That is racist it's called COLORISM.

I'm not going to act like I never said something that was just a stereotype but was low key racist. But at the same time we all make mistakes and we all need to just be mindful. Don't sit here and tell me that your not racist because you have black friends. I don't care about your black friends, we are talking about right now and right now you just said something racist to me so say sorry and take accountability.

Another thing that Low key pisses me off is tiktok. I'm not talking about the creative part of the app for those of you who were probably about to fight me in the comments. I'm talking about the other part of the app, the dumb part. The part of the app where they do racist stuff 24/7 and it's praised and normalized. Alot of the creators are black and get zero credit for the dances they do and also some people both white and black lip sync to things that are highly offensive and culturally targeting. I'm not going to really get into black fishing or cultural appropriation because people won't understand my thought process and how I personally feel about that.

But as far as stereotypes go they need to stop being normalized because it's annoying. That's just how I feel and maybe wrong.🙊🤷🏽‍♀️🙄
