Hide and seek ㅡ Dream SMP AU

Chapter I - How it all started

(This takes place before big Q joined Pogtopia btw)

Two weeks. It had been two weeks since that tragic event took place at the Dream SMP. 'What event?' you may ask. Well...

After the festival, Tubbo was hurt. He wasn't dead though, he had faked being dead on the stage so he could escape when no one was looking. What a smart boy he was. On the other hand, Wilbur was shocked. He didn't do it. He didn't push the button. Even Tubbo silently said that he could. But he still didn't. Was it because he was too weak to do it? Probably was.

The next day, Schlatt wanted to talk to Tubbo. Tommy didn't want to let him go alone, so they agreed on a small truce to meet up and talk. Other people were there too from curiosity. Dream was also there with his friends, so if a battle would start he could step in.

"Has anyone seen Wilbur?" Niki's voice said quietly.

"No. Although he should be here already" Tommy responded, slightly irritated from Wilbur being late.

"What do you think this is about?" Bad whispered to his friend Skeppy, who was beside him.

"I have no idea" whispered Skeppy.

'I have a bad feeling about this...' a masked man thought to himself.

"Dream, you seem more nervous than usual. What's wrong?" A smaller, brittish boy mumbled.

"I just have a really bad feeling about this... like, a really really bad feeling" Dream responded.

"Dude chill, if a fight breaks out they have no armor. Remember, no one was allowed to take armor or weapons here. Not even us" a younger boy, Sapnap, whispered.

"No, it's not about that.. I just-" Dream's whisper was cut out by a loud scream. All of them quickly turned in the direction of the scream, only to see Skeppy laying on the ground with a big cut on his arm. But there was a new person here too... Wilbur, who had all of his armor on and a slightly bloody axe in his hand.

"WILBUR, WHAT ARE YOU DOING??" Bad screamed again.

"W-Will??" Fundy panicked.

Wilbur's grin grew even wider, his eyes full of craziness. Before anyone could react, he swung his axe at Skeppy again, this time with full force.

Blood was now everywhere. Everyone was in shock. Bad was the first one to react, running over to Skeppy's body shouting his name, crying, desperately trying to wake him up. Wilbur smiled, rising his axe again to take a shot at Bad. Thankfully he didn't get to do anything else, as Tommy ran and kicked Wilbur backwards, causing him to fall over.

"WILBUR, WHAT THE FUCK?!" Tommy shouted. Tubbo was crying. Niki tried to comfort him, holding back her own tears. Wilbur let out a small chuckle.

"Everyone's stuff is burned. It's gone. You have NOTHING to defend yourself with!" Wilbur smiled. Tommy was freaking out, trying to figure on what was going on. Wilbur stood back up, staring right down at Tommy.

"You, Tommyinnit. You could join me. Let me get rid of these useless assholes who want nothing but power. We could rule the world again" Wilbur continued.

"Wha- No! Will, it doesn't have to end this way! First you wanted to blow up Manberg, what was crazy enough, but now you want to go on a fucking killing spree?! I will NOT join you!" Tommy shouted. Wilbur's simle faded away.

"Then you will join their fate" he then said, raising his bloody axe again to hit Tommy. His axe hit the ground with Tommy quickly dodging it. Wilbur got his axe off the ground, but then something hit him from the back that caused him to faint.

"Techno??" Dream mumbled. Techno had previously said that he had no interest in coming to the event because it would be 'too much human interaction'. He had his netherite chestplate on, his shield and his trident. If you took a guess, all of his other stuff was probably gone.

"Come on, get out of here before he wakes up! Like he said, we have nothing to defend ourselves with!" Techno shouted at everyone. And they did like he said. Schlatt mumbled something to Quackity, and they quickly ran away to the east. Niki grabbed Tommy and Tubbo, running off with them. Eret grabbed Fundy's arm and ran as fast as they could with him. Dream and Sapnap had to take Bad with force, since he wasn't getting up and refusing to leave Skeppy there, also refusing to believe that he's actually dead. All that was left was Techno and Wilbur, who just woke up.

"Nice trick, traitor" he mumbled, raising his axe again. Techno started to back up, trying to find any kind of water.

'Why isn't Techno getting out of there??' Dream wondered, but it all dissapeared from view as they ran farther away. Tubbo was panicking like crazy. Schlatt was shocked and began to question himself if that actually just happened. They had now abandoned the beautiful land they once lived on.

But that was all two weeks ago. Now, they live hiding, fearing and hoping Wilbur never finds them. And the actual story is only beginning.
